“Make all the dudes jump over obstacles at the same time,” is quite the accurate descriptor for this game. Make Them Jump is an endless runner that tasks you with making sure multiple stick people make it over the obstacles in one piece! If you remember, we did a piece on a game called No One Dies Today, which was very similar to the game we’re looking at today. So, don’t be alarmed if some of the tips sound similar. Start running with our Make Them Jump cheats, tips and tricks strategy guide.
Once again it’s time to ensure the safety of all these speedy stick figures, so let’s get to running with our Make Them Jump cheats, tips and tricks strategy guide.
Start on Normal difficulty!
Just like No One Dies Today, you should always start out on normal difficulty to get used to the controls and jumping arcs of the stick figures. You need to keep your eyes moving, so if you haven’t played this kind of game before you will lose very quickly if you start on the higher difficulties! Start small and work your way up.
Use three finger taps if necessary!
However, unlike No One Dies Today, you can’t use the full screen swipe technique. That is, swiping down through the whole screen to make all your stick figures jump in quick succession. It was a useful technique for clearing obstacles that were way too close to each other. In Make Them Jump swiping doesn’t work, you must tap on each individual box to make that corresponding stick guy jump. This is kind of detrimental as the higher difficulties often like to throw obstacles at multiple stick men in almost the same exact position, but I’ve figured out another trick. Your iDevice is capable of registering up to three separate taps on the screen, so use three fingers to make multiple stick men jump at the same time!
Keep your eyes on the right side of the screen!
Try to keep your eyes on the right side of the screen and scan up and down to watch for oncoming obstacles. The faster you see the obstacles the faster you’ll be able to think a plan of which stick figures to jump first, so it’s very beneficial. Much like No One Dies Today, the faster you can recognize what obstacles are coming where, the better!
Jump correctly; timing is key!
The obstacles are boxes that vary in width and height. Some of them are completely trivial, where you can jump at almost any time and still be safe. The taller and wider boxes though, you have to make sure to jump later than earlier to make sure you don’t drop down on the box halfway through the jump. Timing is key!
Trying holding your iDevice landscape!
This was suggested to me by a friend, and personally it didn’t do much for me, but I’ll list it here anyways. Some people have recommended holding your iDevice in the landscape position, and apparently this helps you see the obstacles better and lets you react faster. I tried it but it made things a bit more confusing for me, but your mileage may vary and it could work for you, so try it if you want to!
Make it harder whenever you feel ready, but don’t rush!
Eventually you’ll be comfortable enough with the jumping and the multitasking, trying going up one difficulty level and work your way from there. Remember this game is very challenging and demands your full attention, so concentrate and focus! Ideally you want to aim for a score of at least 15+ before you move up to the next difficulty level.
In all, victory in this game is heavily dependent upon your own skill, so when it comes down to just practice, practice, practice! Remember though, make sure to have fun! Any questions or suggestions? Leave a comment below!
