1. Learn to pause the game. It might sound strange for many, but pausing is really important because it helps you a lot throughout the game. In order to pause Plague Inc, just tap on the date of the game and this is it!
2. Use the pause button for your advantage. I told you it was useful! Make sure to pause the game and check out the countries and do your research to improve your virus. It’s easier this way!
3. Keep an eye on the prices – they go up for the evolution of the disease as time passes by, making it more difficult. Find your balance and find the perfect time to purchase!
4. Your virus or disease is getting to lethal? Don’t be afraid to Devolve – you will get some DNA points back and you can focus on the virality instead.
5. I guess it’s pretty obvious, then, that virality is very important so focus on increasing it at first – you need a disease that spreads like the BieberFever, so make sure to work on this. Only then focus on its lethal touch.
6. Adapt your strategy based on your starting country. If the country is, for example, humid, make your disease spread faster by the means of water.
7. Don’t drag on too much making your disease lethal, though: waiting for too long means that more scientists and countries will look for a cure and will find it.
8. You can prevent that by making your disease mutate by its own, and this is why Bacterial Resilience is very important in Plague Inc for a solid strategy: a disease that keeps mutating is harder to be cured!
9. But find a balance: don’t make a disease too scary too fast: you will only make the country spend more to find the cure and you won’t have time to evolve.
10. At the end of the game focus your attention on the least affected countries because that is where the challenge lies. Try to adopt your strategy to destroy these last countries too.
11. For the biggest challenge in Plague Inc, go for the Nano Virus. Easiest challenge and the best way to start with is the bacteria (even though it’s never too easy when it comes to destroying the entire population of the world!)
12. You need more DNA Points? Severity and the Virality level give you more points for infecting new countries!
Don’t be scared if it won’t all go as you wanted during the first go. Plague Inc is indeed a really difficult game and replayability is high here so you can try out new strategies and new diseases. Actually, this is the point of the game and it only gets better and better.
