Big Win Basketball Guide: Tips and Tricks to Win 'Em All

I told you yesterday what a big fan of Big Win Basketball I am and today I decided to share with you some of the knowledge I gained playing tens of games in order to help you get more wins for your team. So in this Big Win Basketball guide I will share with you some tips and tricks for a better strategy – from basic stuff to more advanced strategies that will hopefully give you the edge in your next games.

Some of these tips might seem pretty obvious for some, but make sure that you read them all – you never know if you’ll find your winning streak tip below!

big win basketball tips
1. Get Big Cards Early On
By “big cards” I mean premium cards that can be bought by in-game bucks. Get the cheapest pack for 10 Bucks (the Gold pack) and you will end up scoring a few solid players that are good enough to make your team better. I already have 3 Gold players in the team (ratings over 65) after buying 6 or 7 Gold Packs. This allows you to win games, which gives you more coins than a loss and even win Tournaments or rank high, where you will be rewarded with coins AND big bucks!

2. Earn the Free Bucks!
And I got all those Bucks for free! The game offers a lot of opportunities to earn free bucks, usually by downloading and playing all sorts of games. So download and play them and add to your Bucks bank, to get a head start in terms of great players and great cards to use.

3. Play the Trophies at the right time!
Trophies are a great way for you to earn some coins and even score free bucks! But only join the Amateur ones at first and ONLY after you have a solid deck (purchased with big bucks). I played my first tournament early on, as soon as I started playing the game and I finished 8th in 10. Then, after completing some offers there and earning free bucks, with new players and hot cards, I finished 2nd and got 30 Bucks as a reward, if I remember correctly.

4. Mix your cards!
Don’t use all the Gold or Platinum big impact cards too early. Try to mix them with cards that you get for regular coins. Usually, the cards that improve your blocking are great, so try to use them as often as possible. Don’t go for no injury cards because they are a waste of space – injuries rarely occur and it costs you 100 coins to heal a player. But the idea is to mix your cards and make sure you always have a lot to choose from.

5. Learn your cards!
For me, the blocks increasing cards work amazing, especially combined with those that increased our chances to score. Play a few games yourself and see how things work for you – learn your cards and try to use the ones help you the most.

6. Don’t increase the skills of the crap players
Let’s be honest – you’ll start with a few crappy players and your goal will be to change that. Increasing their skills is just a waste of skill cards, because they won’t get too good anyway. Get the free bucks first, get some solid players, and improve their skills to have an even better team. Eventually, you will get rid of all those crappy players and you’ll basically lose the skill points. However, once you have solid players, it’s a good idea to apply the skill enhancers immediately to gain the bonuses.

7. Don’t buy the card pack for 1,000 coins
I did once and I was pretty disappointed. Indeed, you get a chance of a better player, but the cost is too big at least to pay the money early on. It’s better to get the 150 coins packs – at least you get cards to use in the game instead of getting just 5 cards, consuming them all and them waiting to raise money one loss at a time.

8. Don’t be afraid to lose
Losing still gives you money and even though you don’t get as much and your record looks bad, it’s better to lose than not to play at all. Pretty soon, you should be back on track and if you follow these tips, change things for the better.

9. Finish your tournament
This goes hand in hand with the previous one. If you start losing in Trophies, don’t despair and stop playing. The game rewards you pretty nice just for completing all the games in a Trophy, so even if you are dead last, you will still get some coins. And you never know when you get your winning streak.

10. Try your hand at the PRO Trophy
High level teams don’t necessarily mean better teams, but more active teams. It’s true that these teams tend to have better players and more cards, but you never know. I played such a tournament and did pretty well, and the experience itself is solid enough to make it worth it.

11. You can switch any players on the court!
If you have two great PGs, you can use one as SG and vice-versa. It wouldn’t be wise to use a SG as a Center, as in real life, but just compare their stats and see – you might be surprised with your findings!

12. Sell your cards
There are from start cards that you will not need and you can sell them for extra coins. Jersey cards are the first ones that come to mind in this case and you should sell them all – you will rarely change jerseys anyway and you really need the extra coins.

13. Get free coins
Just like with the free bucks, you can also get free coins by watching a 30 seconds long video. You get 150 coins for that, so make sure you find time to do it!

14. Watch the games instead of skipping to the end
I know it might be just superstition, but I found out that watching a game instead of skipping the result usually makes my team perform better and eventually get more wins. So if you have time, it’s definitely worth doing this – you will also be entertained, as it’s a pretty nice simulation to watch anyway!

And these would be the tips and tricks I have to share with you for Big Win Basketball that will hopefully help you get more wins. If you have any extra advice, don’t hesitate to share it with us in the comment section below!
