Climbing up the top of the crime ladder in Vegas can be tough, but if you’ve just started this climb, our compilation of Gangstar Vegas tips, tricks and cheats could hopefully make it easier.
This may sound like a pretty lofty cheat, but it is possible in Gangstar Vegas. And it’s even easier than it was in Gangstar Rio; back then, you could access the shop in all missions, thus allowing you to buy health as needed. In here, you can go to the shop via the Map screen, and buy all the med-kits, weapons, ammo, and armor you need. That’s more items than before, and since med-kits in particular are hard to find throughout the course of the actual game, Gameloft has made it easier for players to complete all their missions with little effort.
Likewise, Gameloft is also allowing players in Gangstar Vegas to instantly head to mission locations instead of driving to them. All you need to do here is to go to the Map screen, tap on the mission icon, then hit Begin to get things started. This saves you the effort of driving around Las Vegas to go wherever you have to be in order to start a mission.
It’s that old run and shoot mechanic again, though with that being said, there may be times when you’ll need to take cover. In most cases, you can ace missions by doing the run and shoot – fire at an enemy, then run before their bullets hit you. As you can easily buy med-kits, armor, and other stuff like we told you above, getting back up to speed should be a breeze. Don’t bother using the cover system, which is, quite honestly, a bit hard to use and not worth the effort to use regularly.
Don’t settle for a puny little pistol for the long run; if you can afford an assault rifle, then buy it and make that your main weapon. Sure, handguns may be fine in a pinch, but you wouldn’t, and shouldn’t use them for an extended period of time. If you’ve got something better, then go nuts with it and use it first and foremost.
Vehicle skills, meaning the ones that allow your ride to go faster, are essentially useless in this game. The skills you want to upgrade are health, since you’ll need a lot of it, as well as your damage and rate of fire for the weapons.
