Godfather is a computer adaptation of the famous book and the movie) You start from zero and during several action-packed missions advance in the mafia hierarchy.
The following guide is composed of - mainly - the step by step walkthrough how to beat the main part of the game. Even though Godfather isn't really complicated, it could get hard at some places. Beside that you can find a list of all assassinations (you get to know, who pays, how much does he pay and for what etc.). Before starting the game it's worth to notice the part with basic gameplay tips (shooting, fighting, bullying etc.)
Enjoy,
Artur "Roland" Dabrowski
The shooting sequences in Godfather aren't really difficult. The crosshair is automatically targeted onto the enemy, when you press the right mouse button (targeting mode). You can help it by looking in the direction of a chosen foe. When targeting, a crosshair is shown - a white circle - which you can move around with the mouse. To shoot, press the left mouse button. You reload with the [R] key, and holster the gun with [H]. To eliminate opponents, target their heads. It takes one precise shot to send one to the other world. You can also disable the foe by shooting in his knee, or dispose him of his weapon by shooting his hand. When there's a shooting - it's better to save bullets. Before every bigger job take weapons from either one of your houses, or from the Corleone mansion just to be sure that you won't be left with nothing during action.
Fighting isn't challenging either. Hold the right mouse button to put the hero in aggressive stance, then hit an opponent the way you want. Basic moves are made with [Q] - left hook, [E] - right hook, and [W]. You can grab enemies and overpower them - you do it by pressing both left and right mouse buttons. When an opponent is caught, you can hit him anyway you want to. When a sign appears, press [F] to watch how the hero is finishing a foe.
Bullying is an important part of Godfather. Thanks to it, we take over places belonging to the enemy mafias. The whole thing starts by talking to a restaurant, coffee shop etc. manager and talking to him. When he says, that he won't pay you begin to bully him. In the top right corner of the screen (right under the health bar of that character) a terror meter is shown. It is the green line which you shouldn't cross. If you overdo, the bar goes red and you lose. Notice that the more you harass the owner, the more will he want to pay. The trick to getting as much as possible is simple. Grab the man and simply wait as the amount of money stops raising. When this happens, talk to him once again. During the 'negotiations' you often have to manage with the guards or gangsters of other mafias.
Driving a car in Godfather is simplified. There's no comparing to the normal driving games. Learning how to avoid obstacles, moving fast in the street traffic and losing a tail in a chase shouldn't cause much problems. You should avoid civilian cars and try to bang the opponent's cars onto obstacles, therefore leaving them behind.
The map in the game plays a significant role. It is recommended to look into it before any street journey, not to search for a way for a long time. All of the important locations (such as hospitals and enemy families warehouses etc.) are pointed out. If you want, you can pinpoint a location of your choosing, it will also be visible on the mini-map during the actual game.
Q. How do I do the various Execution Styles that I am missing?
A. Here is a list of The Execution Styles and how to do them (feel free to send in changes or improvements for this section if you have a better way of doing one).
(Note: Most of these styles you will need the Rival Family Member to be low on health before you can use execute on them. Some of them you will need to wait until you see the Execute prompt at the top of the screen before you can do it and others you will just need to do the specified act to complete the Execution. You will need a Rival Family Member to do these Executions with as using just anyone won't work.)
#1 Blackhand Execution
Kill Rival Family Member with Blackhand fighting without grabbing them.
#2 Bombs Away Execution
Blow up a Rival Family Member with Dynamite or a Bomb.
#3 Cocktail Hour Execution
Use a Molotov on a Rival Family Member
#4 Grand Slam Execution
When you see a Rival Family Member is on their knees go up to them (facing them) with a Bat and use Execute.
#5 Blackhand Grapple Execution
Grab Rival Family Member and kill them with Blackhand fighting.
#6 Hard Head Execution
Grab Low on Health Rival Family Member and face either side of them towards a counter before slamming the side of their head into it to kill them.
#7 Last Gasp Execution
Grab and Strangle (L3+R3) Rival Family Member.
#8 Over Cooked Execution

#9 Road Rage Execution
Run over a Rival Family Member with your vehicle.
#10 Silent Assassin Execution
Sneak up and use your Garrote Wire on a Rival Family Member.

#12 Watch Your Step Execution
Throw a Rival Family Member out of a Two-Story window, off a Rooftop, over a railing or any other high up places. Push them towards it with your left Analog stick (with their back facing it of course) and while holding the left analog stick towards it Push them out of it with your right analog stick.
#13 Traffic Accident Execution
Throw a low on health Rival Family Member in front of a moving car. This one is a bit tricky you need to not stand directly in front of traffic but just to the side of the traffic to still let the traffic flow. Throw the Rival Family Member in front of a car or just toss them towards a still moving car to kill them (this takes practice but you should eventually get it).
#14 Wallpapered Execution

(Yes, I am aware this is not a collectible but since many are asking about it we figured we would add it in anyways since we are doing locations in this guide.)
Q. Where are the FBI Agents?
A. Look on the map and push R1 to bring up the list of Icons. Scroll down the list and you will find the FBI Badge Icon. Look for these Icons on the map and you will find them where those Icons are. Here is a list of their locations if you are still having trouble finding them:
Main St.
Enter St. Anne's Church and go to your right as you enter the church. Use the door to your right to go down to the basement of this Church and you will find this FBI Agent hiding in the corner to your left as you enter one of the rooms of this basement.
42nd St.
Enter the Holy Cross Church on 42nd St. and go to your right as you enter. Use the door to your right to go down to the basement of this Church and you will find this FBI Agent hiding in the corner to your left as you enter one of the rooms of this basement.
Foley Square
Face the shrubs and trees between the two large buildings that you can see when you are standing on Foley Square. Walk along the left side of the building to your right and you will find the FBI Agent hiding near the back corner of this building.
West Side Highway
As you drive towards this Icon you will come to a bridge and on the East side of the bridge you will see this FBI Agent standing on the walkway along the side of the bridge.
Park Ave. / 4th Ave.
You can't miss this guy he is standing in plain view on the sidewalk where the icon is on the map.
Newark St.

The Godfather: How can I get out of the car?
You can't get out of the car because you don't have the original game. Probably your mouse controls are also not working properly. You need to get the original if you want to play. It's some kind of protection against the pirates. If you got original game try contact customer support.
A typical training mission. Take care of two thugs in the back alley, then talk to Luca Brasi, a friend of Don Corleone. He'll show you the location of a Corleone hideout (it is pointed on the mini-map), which you can go to either on foot or by a stolen car. Drive into the alley, enter the building and take the stairs up. Save the game near the bed.
Go down and answer the telephone.
Harassed by corrupted policemen and the Tataglia family pressing from Brooklyn, the Corleone fight to keep control over Little Italy. It's time to learn what makes the world turn...
Sergeant Galtosino - a corrupted cop, squeezing Little Italy to the last drop.
Go outside and stand in the blue field in front of the door. Watch the cut-scene, then talk to Luca. He orders you to get tribute from a local butcher. Go inside his shop. To get the money you have to frighten the guy by attacking him or demolishing the shop. When he's terrorized enough, he'll scream. Talk to him then.
Follow him to the back (there's 150$ lying on the table) and go up the stairs. It is your first hideout in the game. To take over it, you have to frighten the man standing in the corner. Beat one or two people in the room. Talk to the first man and the place is yours. You can plant dynamite under the safe to get 1500$. In the meantime, develop skills of your choosing and go downstairs. Get out of the shop. Give the policeman a 100$ bribe, then go to Luca with the money.
By any way, get to Paulie Gatto's hideout.
None Sicilian will reject a request on the day of his daughter's wedding - it's time to fulfill Bonasera's wish and avenge his daughter...
Paulie Gatto - a Corleone family mobster, working for capo Pete Clemenza
Marty "Monk" Malone - half Irish, half Italian, trickster working for the Corleone family
Follow Paulie and Monk. Not long after you'll meet two students who need their faces redecorated. One of them won't run really away. Grab him by his clothes and smash him against the wall shining in blue. The second guy is on the cemetery. Finish him by following the on-screen instructions (you'll learn some useful moves also). It shouldn't be much of a problem.
Go to Luca. He'll be waiting in Bowery, Little Italy.
Rejecting trafficking drugs, proposed by Sollozzo, Don Corleone knows that a vengeance is coming - Luca is sent with a mission to "join" Solozzo...
Bruno Tattaglia - vice-leader of the Tattaglia family, son of Don Tattaglia
Sollozzo - "Turkish", help's the Tattaglia family in setting a chain of drug houses
Follow Luca and learn to shoot. Equip the gun, then take care of the three dummies. When you get a hold on the shooting part, enter the car and drive Luca to Luna Bar in Midtown. Watch a cut-scene and then shoot the enemy gangsters. Hide behind blue-flashing cover and exchange fire from there.
Enter the building and kill at least two enemies at the very beginning. Run down the corridor shooting next gangsters. You'll meet the last one in the bar. When you've taken care of all of them, get out and head to the hideout. At the end, you'll need to escape from a couple of police cars.
Use your free time to take over a few buildings. After more or less successful extortions, get to the hideout and save the game. Run down the stairs and talk to Federico (there's a sign over his head). You must go to a meeting with Monk. He waits in DeMantagna's hairdresser's saloon.
Luca sleeps with the fishes. Tom Hagen, the Corleone consigliere has disappeared. Will anybody stop the Tattaglia from destroying the Corleone family?
Pete Clemenza - the older "main capo" of the Corleone, a real man of the street
Sal Tessio - Corleone family's capo, one of the trusted guards of Don
Watch the cut-scene and then shoot the enemies on the other side of the street. Our target is Frankie, Monk's sister. She's being held hostage by one of the gangsters. Run to him and shoot either in the head or in the hand. Watch a cut-scene and after that, follow the ambulance as fast as you can.
Watch for enemy's cars and gangsters shooting from there and also for many road blocks. You follow the ambulance for about two minutes - then a short scene is shown. Back on your feet, shoot a couple of opponents, grab the capo's (there's a sign over his head) and interrogate him. Your next objective is to take Don Corleone to the hospital. Get into the ambulance and drive as fast as the car will let you.
When Corleone gets to the hospital, you have to visit his mansion. Enter the car and go to the place. Talk to Tom Hagen, he will promote you to the family's executor. Talk with Eduardo now - he tells you to meet Clemenza in Falconite (Little Italy). You can also make some assassinations for Tessio. When you're ready, head to Falconite.
Clemenza orders you to get to the hospital in Little Italy. You'll meet Jaggy over here. He'll tell you about trucks with illegal contents. In front of the entrance to Falconite, you'll find stolen 2000$, which should be taken to the hideout immediately. When you're done with everything, go to the hospital.
The hospital is deserted - Tessio's people have been recalled and there are only a few guards left. Don Corleone lies alone in one of the rooms, helplessly waiting for his destiny...
Frances "Frankie" Malone - Monk's sister. Is she only a next temptation?
After entering the hospital, talk to the guard. Unfortunately, you'll have to leave the gun during your stay. Go to the first floor and turn left, where the room with Monk is. Talk to his sister, Frankie. Shortly after, a mobster runs into the room. Get rid of him with your bare fists. Watch a cut-scene and then go to the basement to clean it from enemies.
Run down and begin your journey through the hospital's corridors. Watch your health bar and be aware of gangsters hiding behind corners. Don't forget to use the curtains. In one of the rooms, you'll find a healing balsam. Soon, you'll catch up with Frankie. When all of the enemies are dead, she'll move to the garage with an ambulance. Talk to her before her departure. Go to the ground floor and meet Michael Corleone (defeat two gangsters before that). Watch a cut-scene.
Not far away from the hospital, you'll meet Gustavo. He tells you that Clemenza is waiting in Gabriela Villi's tailor's workshop (Little Italy). This place is about 200 meters away from your current location. Go there. Clemenza say's that there's a "business" party in the evening. You are to meet the owner of the place, Rose, during the party. Go to Little Italy.
Despite pressure from the corrupted cops, Rosa is still maintaining her flower shop as a cover for a Corleone brothel. New Year's Eve is today and Frankie left...
Monk Malone - at full health, ready of the night party
Sergeant Galtosino - too self-confident about his corrupted power
After entering the place, talk to Rosa. She invites you upstairs where the party is. On your way you'll meet Alberto who tells you to talk to Sonny, Paulie and Monk when you meet them. Unfortunately, none of them will have time for a chat. Go to the stairs, watch a cut-scene and go down. Your objective is to avoid the cops patrolling the area around the building. Near the front door you'll meet a policeman, bribe him with 250$.
Avoiding the policemen means simply to choke them to death. You do it by grabbing them and holding [X] for a while. When you get spotted, there's a time meter shown. It indicates time left before raising alarm. Watch out. Enter the building. You get assaulted by two cops. Ascend the stairs nearby, fight another policeman. Few steps further, you'll meet Rose.
You've got to assassinate the police sergeant, making it look like an accident. Enter the building and take the elevator up. Remember that you can't simply kill him. Grab him, take to the edge of the roof, struggle for a while and watch a cut-scene.
Return to the place where you've last seen Rose. She advices you to go to the Corleone mansion. Do so. Enter and stand on the blue spot. After the scene you'll be a new Corleone associate. Look for Angelo. He tells you that Clemenza is waiting for you in his house on Brooklyn. Outside you'll meet Jaggy. Talk to him, he tells you how important it is to take over hostile warehouses. He advices you to start from those belonging to the Tattaglia family in Little Italy and on Brooklyn. You can start this business right now or just skip to the main plot. When you're done, go to Clemenza's place.
1946: Don Vito is still recovering and Sonny Corleone senses who betrayed his father. He orders Clemenza to do the job...
Tom Hagen - a loyal advisor - consigliere - of Don Vito, a talented negotiator
Drive along with Clemenza and Paulie to the restaurant. The first one left a gun over there which you need to pick up. Go in the direction shown on the map. Ascend the stairs, get the dynamite and the rifle. Notice two gangsters harassing a cook. If you save him, he'll show you a room with some bonus stuff (healing brewage, dynamite and ammo). Talk to Clemenza and then run to the alley.
Soon after you'll approach the bar that needs to be blown up. Enter the building, you'll have some shooting there. Crouch behind the billiard table and attack the mobsters. Go to the first floor, there will be some opponents jumping from behind corners, watch for them. Get to the bar room (one with the billiard tables). After clearing it from enemies, plant the bomb in the blue spot. Now run like hell to the exit. The meter in the top of the screen shows how much time is left before the explosion. Run out and... BOOM!!!
You've got to kill Paulie. He is escaping in the direction of the large containers. After getting rid of him, you'll need to lose your police tail. You need to do this and get to Paulie's apartment. Don't enter it using the front door, drive around and enter the garage.
To get the next assignment, answer whichever phone and talk to Monk. He asks you to come to Corcoran's Perch (Midtown). To there and have a talk. You'll be sent to Tom Hagen who is at the family mansion. Inside you'll meet Trojan, he has some assassination jobs for you. When you're done, go to Tom.
Jack Woltz is insulting Don Vito's nephew, a famous singer Johnny Fontane. Tom Hagen goes to Hollywood to make a deal with Woltz and give him an offer he can't refuse...
Jack Woltz - a big wig in the movie industry, who dared to confront the Corleone family.
Follow Rocco. Make sure you won't get spotted. Finally, you'll come to the stables - look for a horse named Khartoum. Rocco orders you to guard the exit. Go to it and watch a short scene, then take care of the guard. Now, you need to deliver the "package" to Woltz's bedroom. Enter the building and head to the blue blip on the map. Just after the first stairs, kill a guard using the wire.
Enter Woltz's mansion (stay crouching and watch for guards). You'll meet a butler, dispose of him at the first occasion. Head right, kill another guard and go up. Near the stairs is another enemy, try to kill him as silently as you can. Look into the next room, but don't enter until the maid gets out.
When she's out, go in the direction of a nearby corridor. Listen to a short dialogue between the maid and a guard. Then sneak behind the guard and kill him. Follow the corridor not getting too much attention from the man on the balcony. Woltz's bedroom is in the end of the hall. Wait for Rocco and enter. Watch the cut-scene. What a nice surprise...
Talk to Berto. He tells you that Tom is waiting in Chateau Leive in Midtown. He's got a present for you - a new apartment! Enter the building and talk to Frankie. Take the elevator down and talk to Jaggy. He tells you that in order to regain control over Little Italy, you need to take over the Verona warehouse. Do it if you want, otherwise go to the Corleone Family.
The streets are pulsing with tension; Sollozzo and his pet-cop, McCluskey are calling a meeting...
Michael Corleone - a prodigal son fighting his destiny
You've got to stash your weapons in Louise's Restaurant (Midtown) before getting to Sollozzo. You have 4 minutes to do the job. Simply avoid crashes and longer stops. When you get to the spot, enter the alley and head to the back entrance. Kill three gangsters on your way. Raul is standing near the door. He won't let you in. Struggle him a little and he will let you in anyway.
Get inside and go to the toilet, do not stress yourself with enemies. After planting the weapon watch a cut-scene. When it ends, go out of the diner and run as fast as you can to Michael Corleone's car. You've got to drive him to Hell's Kitchen docks. Go there swiftly, watching out for gangsters pursuing you. The target - a ship leaving to Sicily - is located near the sign pointing Little Italy. After getting Michael to the ship, watch a cut-scene.
Dario showed up nearby, he tells you that Tom Hagen is waiting for in Falconite in Little Italy. Head there. You'll be informed that the family wants you within its structures. Approach Don Vito Corleone standing nearby. Watch the ceremony, then talk to him once more. Answer the phone - Frankie calls you to your apartment in Midtown. She says, there's a surprise waiting for you. There's nothing more to do except fulfilling your wife's request.
1950: A promising gangster, not bad income - could life be better? The family is impressed, there's a rumor saying, that Sonny has got some plans concerning you...
Frankie Malone - strong, beautiful and yours
After the scene, get the gun. There will be numerous opponents in a second. Kill all of them. You'll meet an enemy family don downstairs. Grab him and make him scared of you. When you do it, he'll say that his people took Frankie to the church.
Kill him and use the nearest phone to talk to Monk. Get out of the building, enter the car and meet Monk. Go to the St. Michael's Church on Brooklyn. Head into the church's basement by the side entrance. Cut-scene...
Carlo is standing in front of the church. He'll tell you that Sonny is waiting for you in Stormbolis in Hell's Kitchen. Go to the meeting.
Bruno Tattaglia killed Frankie and he has to pay for it. Sonny has got a lead, plans for vengeance have been made...
Bruno Tattaglia - hides after murdering Frankie
Have a chat with Sonny, then go into the next room. Tattaglia's Capo is waiting here. You've got to interrogate him. He's pretty tough, but a few hits into the head should do the trick. Watch a cut-scene. Go to the funeral house in Midtown. Bruno Tattaglia hides inside. Kill the gangsters next to the entrance and get in. There's a healing drink in the room on the left. Eliminate all of the gangsters, then take the elevator going down. Kill both enemies and leave Bruno for the end. To finish the mission, throw him into the furnace.
To get the next assignment, head to the Corleone mansion. When you'll be nearby, a message saying that Sonny wants to meet with you will appear. Get into the neighboring residence. Talk to Sonny inside. He wants to talk about Lucy's apartment in Midtown. Before going out, talk to Jaggy (bonus mission) and to Clemenza (a couple of assassination missions). Do the optional things or drive to Lucy's place to continue the main plot.
Sonny starts a war on the street by aggressively expanding his "empire". Sonny-street terror has to take care of his family also...
Sonny Corleone - Don Vito's brutal successor
Watch the cut-scene, then talk to Sonny. You've got to drive him to the Cuneo bar in Hell's Kitchen in two minutes. The road is really simple so it shouldn't make a problem. Go inside and kill two gangsters. In the room behind the corridor to the left is a healing drink. Next opponents are in the bar room. When the level is cleared, head to the exit and then go to the basement. Eliminate firstly two enemies and then three more. You can do it swiftly by throwing a Molotov cocktail into the room.
Interrogate the man in the next room. Watch a cut-scene. Get out of the building and enter the car with Sonny inside. You've got to chase the boss of this place. It looks difficult, but to be honest - it is not. Just try not to hit the road blocks or make any other random stops.
Finally, you'll come to the magazines. Go to the nearby building. Run up the stairs and watch a scene. Get everything from this room and blow up the safe to get some money. Go out and enter the car. You've got to get to the Cuneo family warehouse in three minutes.
Drive out of the warehouses area, head to the 12th street and go to it's end. You'll get to the port. Your target here is taking over the Cuneo's warehouses. Run forward. There will be quite a lot of shooting here. Target the barrels to eliminate them faster. Next fight is waiting just after the warehouse gate. After clearing out the area, interrogate the warehouse manager. He'll be quite naughty so don't be polite with him either.
Talk to the messenger nearby. Sonny wants to talk to you in the Corleone mansion. Enter the car.
Sonny put Carlo in the right position and directs all the actions with an iron fist. The Tattaglia family is in ruin, but still fighting - whose hand handles their operations from behind?
Don Vito - recovering, but ready to pass the command to a heir
Michael Corleone - still on Sicily, but ready for a return
Watch the cut-scene, then get into the car and follow Sonny. He's driving very fast, so step on gas and watch the traffic. Another cut-scene will start shortly. Now you've got to chase the assassins. It's a really fast chase. Try to put the enemy vehicles out of the way and when your car is burning, steal a new one. In order not to lose your way, watch for the blue arrows.
After getting on location, get out of the car and start a major shooting sequence. You've got to interrogate the gates manager. Do it after taking care of the gangsters. Enter the building, run up the stairs, kill the mobster and question the manager.
Go to Tunnel Club (Hell's Kitchen) in five minutes. To get there quickly, turn right twice and then go to all the way north. Head to Hell's Kitchen and follow the city streets to the Tunnel Club. At the place, firstly shoot out four gangsters, then enter the building.
A group of enemies is waiting here. Take care of them. Go downstairs and shoot another guys. Head through the newly opened door. Negotiate with the vice-president. It should go swiftly. Then, return to the mansion in five minutes. Cut-scene...
You've got to meet Michael (An old assassinations employer - Trojan just showed up on the map. He's in a church in Hell's Kitchen). Enter the room with the new Godfather and watch the scene. Go to Little Italy and talk to Monk. There are some new contract murders available, talk to Al Neri in the Corleone mansion to get them.
1955: When full of vengeance Michel takes over the Family, the truce negotiated by Don Vito becomes weak. Everybody got their nerves tense...
Monk - frustrated by his "outsider" status
Along with Monk, you've got to find a "rat" in a nearby hotel. There's a lot of shooting inside. Three gangsters on the ground floor is just the beginning. You'll meet numerous opponents on higher floors. The target is on fourth floor. Watch a cut-scene. Now it got complicated...
Your next objective is to find Monk. Get out of the hotel, enter a fast car and drive to the spot marked on your mini-map. Watch a scene there and start fighting with Monk's people. There's a whole bunch of them, so watch your health. The only healing drink is on a table on the first floor, but it's guarded. Monk is hiding in a concert hall in the center of the building. You can throw a Molotov cocktail to eliminate a couple of enemies at one time (with some luck, you'll get Monk as well). When he's lying dead, go outside.
A messenger is waiting near the building. He tells you that Tom is waiting for you in the Corleone mansion. Go there. You'll meet Clemenza with new assignments. Tom orders you to meet Will Cicci on Brooklyn.
After Don Vito's death, the Corleone look weak. Tessio wants to make a deal with Michael, just as Don foreseen: the man that comes with that offer is a traitor...
Tessio - making future plans connected with the Family weakness
Get into the Embassy club. Just after a few seconds, a firing starts. You've got to kill Tessio - at the beginning he's in the basement, but later he will start escaping by the stairs. Use the elevator, then follow Tessio - a blue blip on the mini-map. Take care of two gangsters in the first room. There's a healing drink on the table. Just after the stairs leading to the ground floor you'll run into another two enemies. Finally, you'll catch Tessio in the bar room. You'll have a chance to talk to him, but it's pointless. Just shoot him to end the mission.
Just after leaving the building, talk to Tom. He'll tell you that Michael wants to see you tomorrow, before the baptism. Get into the car and drive to a the church in Little Italy.
... Everything starts in the day of the baptism. Moe Green in Las Vegas is dead already and Michael demands unparalleled loyalty from everybody. It's time to make a move...
Watch the cut-scene, then go to Clemenza. He's in a flower shop in Midtown. After a short talk, enter the car again and go to the St. Alban hotel. Get inside. You'll meet the don of the Stracci family. Do not shoot anybody, just go into the room with the don. Take care of him there and make the same thing with the rest of the gangsters. Go down to Clemenza. There are a few other enemies here, also. After clearing the place, talk to Clemenza.
Get out of the building and drive to the hairdresser in Hell's Kitchen, where Willie Cicci is waiting. Go to the Savannah hotel (Midtown) along with him. Just after arrival, you'll have a new objective - killing don Cuneo. Talk to Willie and start the job. Help him in finishing all of the gangsters, then get out. Don Cuneo should be standing right in front of the building. Kill him, then talk to Willie (he stayed inside).
Drive to the Embassy club once again to talk to Rocco there. Your next target is don Tattaglia himself. Rumor says, he's hiding in one of the brothels nearby. You've got to find him (before doing so, go to the kitchen and get some ammo). Get out of the building and talk to a prostitute there. She'll tell you that the nearest brothel is just a few streets away. Go there. Tattaglia is on the second floor. You'll have to make it past a few mobsters there. Kill the don at the end.
Al Neri is already waiting for you in the police station. Drive there to meet him. Take the police car then and go to the court in Little Italy then. Don Barzini has a meeting there. After arriving, hide behind the barrels and wait for Al Neri to start the fire. Help him in eliminating the gangsters and don Barzini just after. Your next objective is to loose the tail. Enter a nearby car and... go! Drive to the church in Little Italy, where the baptism is taking place. When a "objective completed" sign appears, go inside.
After a short scene, talk to the messenger nearby. You are being called to the mansion... Watch the scene and talk to Clemenza then.
To finish the main plot, you've got to blow up the headquarters of the four enemy families. They're marked with a blue blip on your map. The job (especially with one of the buildings) is extremely tough and requires numerous attempts. All of the places are very similar to each other. The best strategy is to drive through the barricades with a tough car, then hiding after a good cover and shoot enemies from there. After eliminating all of the guards, enter the building and kill a few more. One is near the entry place and the second comes out of those leading into the basement (sometimes there's more). Go into the basement and then place the bomb. After blowing up all of the headquarters, go to the Corleone mansion. Cut-scene...
Well, you're the don. The fun doesn't end here, though. To get control over New York, you've got to take over all of the warehouses, harass all the shops, buy all the hideouts and do all of the assassinations in every styles. After doing this you're finally the boss. Sounds nice, eh?
