As you begin the game, you will automatically start following Gwen, capable of only turning the camera with the right analog stick.
After regaining control, hold down RB to enter the so-called Web Rush.
Letting go of the button will rapidly move you to the marked spot. That way you will save you friend.
Holding her on her back, you need to run forward while successively passing through the opening doors. In order to jump, press A.
Behind the room with the windows hit by robots, turn left and pick up the Audio Evidence lying behind the door. Locations of the other ones have been described in the proper chapter of this guide.
A bit further you will reach a hole which you need to jump through. For that, hold down RT and control Spidey using the analog stick.
Behind the second hole you will be attacked by a group of spiders. Jump down and defeat them by alternating between pressing X (attack) and Y (dodge) at the right moments.
When the fight's over, you will be able to return to Gwen. Take her on your back again with Y and go through the door at the bottom right.
The corridor will lead you to a room with lasers. Use the nearby computer which will open the door and using the Web Rush, jump through the hole in the security system (upper left corner).
You need to aim at the open space so that a yellow Spider-Man image appears and afterwards hold down and let go of RB.
On the other side you will find a room with a big turbine. Stop it with web projectiles (press B quickly). Afterwards jump to the other side by using the Web Rush.
Proceed similarly with the second fan and use the nearby computer with the Web Rush. That way you will open the door behind the laser wall.
Quickly jump to the other side through the hole on the left and afterwards head into the ventilation shaft above the locked door (RB).
The tunnel will lead you to a room with robots. Start off by pressing LB to retreat onto a wall.
From there you will be able to shoot web at them (RB) and afterwards continue the fight normally. The more hits you can lay without being damaged, the more experience you will get.
Return for Gwen after the fight and back to the room where the fight took place. A bit further you will find a bed on which you need to place the woman.
After the short cinematic ends, you will gain access to a special cell phone. Activate it by pressing BACK.
Using it, you can increase your skills after gaining a new experience level and listen to the obtained recordings. Choose one of the improvements and afterwards exit with B. That way you will be moved outside.
Right before Peter hits the ground, press and hold down RT. That way you will start swinging between buildings using you spider web. You can also land and run along a building with the same button.
After listening to what Gwen has to say, check your phone (BACK). Your new target will be marked on the map. You can also read the received messages.
After reaching the target, a fight with a giant robot will start.
In order to defeat it, use Web Rush on the orange circle on its head.
That way you will destroy it and will be able to head onto the wall of the nearest building.
In the air, use Web Rush again to destroy two other targets on the sides of the machine.
Throughout the fight, the enemy will shoot rockets at you. Dodge them by pressing Y when a prompt appears on the screen. With three circles destroyed, you will need to take care of the fourth one at the back of the machine. Fly around it and end the first phase of the fight with a quick attack into the weak spot.
During the second part of the fight, your targets will be the enemy's eyes. Keep flying around the machine until it starts preparing a laser attack from its mouth. That's the right moment for using Web Rush.
Aim at its eyes and start quickly pressing X to attack.
While destroying the second eye, remember about dodging (Y).
In the third phase of the fight, blue turbines will appear on the robot's legs. You will have to destroy them with web.
Land on one of the nearby skyscrapers and shoot at them by quickly pressing B.
With the last leg destroyed, use Web Rush on the machine's head to end this stage.
As you finish talking with Connors, turn around and enter the ventilation shaft above the grate.
It will lead you to a big room with cells.
From there, jump onto the barrier on the left and keep heading forward until you reach a control panel.
Soon it will get destroyed by a careless guard. Your missions will be to save the personnel and stop the fugitives.
Start off by holding downY to point the camera onto the hole in the ceiling. You can get there by holding down RB.
That way you will reach a room with prisoners. Jump down and defeat all the enemies. This time buttons will no longer appear, instead red/white lightning will shot up above Spidey's head right before he's about to get hit. Remember to use Y then.
When you finish the fight, jump onto the barrier on the right. Right beside there will be stairs leading to the upper floor.
There you will meet one of the hospital employees, attacked by a group of madmen. In order to save him, hold down RBand aim at the desk behind him. Spider-Man will use it to stun the enemies.
Stunned enemies can be quickly disarmed by pressing B.
Get rid of the others by using the nearby vending machine.
With the fight over, head onwards through the open grate. The second one will move after a short conversation.
Inside the next corridor you will be attacked by another group of psychos.
Defeat them all and use the lever on the right.
Afterwards quickly press RBand use Web Rush on the door on the other side. They will open only for a short time, so you need to be quick.
In order to move on, use the ventilation shaft found above.
The tunnel will lead you to another passage.
That way you will reach the toiler, with another enemy standing by the urinal. Defeat him quickly and afterwards get rid of the group of enemies inside the adjoining room.
Afterwards go behind the nearby barricade.
The corridor will lead you to a pile of burning furniture.
Jump over them (RT) and you will come across a running Felicia.
After the woman disappears, turn right and head through the hole on the left. Another fight awaits you there.
A bit further you will come across Connors.
Speak to him and afterwards head inside the ventilation shaft on the left.
It will lead you to a computer which will unlock a passage for your companion.
Run forward and you will reach a burning staircase.
Head to the very top using Web Rush and defeat the enemy by the window.
With him dead, do the same with the one on the other side of the square.
Having defeated him, jump down. You will need to fight a group of madmen.
With the first group lying unconsciousness on the ground, take care of the riflemen in the two further windows.
Only after eliminating them should you take care of the two others below and speak with Connor.
In the end you will have to take the man to your apartment. Just land on the roof of the marked building to end the mission.
You will begin the third level inside Spider-Man's apartment. Here you can change your hero's suits, speak with Connor or repeat the already completed levels. In order to continue, jump through the window on the left.
Your first task is placing three transmitters on three nearby antennas. The first one can be found right outside the window.
PressY and then RB to get onto the top. Spider-Man will automatically use the transmitter.
Repeat the same thing with the two other antennas and you will receive a message from the police radio. One of the mutants has been noticed in the southern part of town. Apart from that, less important criminals which you can catch will be also marked on the map with white fists on blue background. In return for saving civilians you will receive experience points.
In order to continue with the mission, head towards the white star icon to confront a Rhino enemy.
During the fight, run as far away from the enemy as possible and wait beside the SWAT car for him to charge.
When he does, dodge it by pressing Y at the right moment and afterwards attack him with Web Rush (RB) if he hits the car.
Keep repeating such attacks while avoiding the enemy's powerful hits and jump attacks. Just hit him a couple more times and the fight will end.
Your next target is the Oscorp Archives in the north. Get onto the roof of the marked building and use the ventilation shaft found there.
After getting inside, keep heading onwards and stop by the end of the shaft.
In order to perform a stealth attack, you need to press RBwhen you're invisible and nearby the enemy. That way you will stick him to the floor.
After stunning the enemy, turn right and afterwards grab the ceiling on the left.
That way you will be in a good position to eliminate the next guard.
With him taken care of, jump to the other side of the room and head left. There you also have to eliminate two enemies. One below and one on a higher platform.
Afterwards use Web Rush on the crate hanging by the ceiling.
That way you will unlock a ventilation shaft which you have to use.
The tunnel will lead you to an elevator with the shipment you're looking for.
Wait for the guards to exit, turn around and use another narrow passage.
At its end there will be two men who can be eliminated silently.
Do it and afterwards enter the ventilation shaft on the right.
On the other side you will see another narrow hole.
Head inside it and silence the man standing at its end.
The further road will take you to the right. Move along the walls or the ceiling to avoid getting involved in a fight.

While holding downY, point the camera onto the crate handing from the ceiling. Move it using the Web Rush.
That way you will break the glass and unlock a further passage.
Quickly jump upstairs and use the tunnel on the right.
At its end you will meet with the famous reporter.
After a short conversation, you will be attacked by a guard with a shield.
Jump over him (A) and afterwards quickly attack from the air (X).
With the enemy defeated, run onwards.
Inside the corridor you will come across a turret. Block it with spider web (B) and afterwards jump over the laser (RT).
The reporter is waiting for you on the other side. She will give you a mission of taking a photo of a crate with the OSCORP sign. To do that, hold down LT, zoom in with the left analog stick and take the photo (RB/RT).
If you take a correct photo, a green sign will appear. Save the photo by pressing A. similar photos of the OSCORP crates can be also taken in the further parts of the game. Their locations can be found in the dedicated chapter of the guide.
After you're done, the reporter will open the door in front of you. Behind it there's a big room full of enemies.
Start off by silently eliminating the enemy on the bridge and the one on the opposite side of the room.
Get rid of the further three from the ventilation shaft in the wall. Wait for them to leave their groups and stick them with web.
However remember about hiding back into the shaft after they see a stunned companion. You have to wait there until they stop searching with flashlights.
Eliminate the last enemy while hanging from the ceiling.
When you're done, the door on the other side will open.
Go further along the corridor and into the ventilation shaft on the left.
Avoid the hot steam and you will reach a room with more enemies.
Start off by quickly getting rid of the enemy below and afterwards stun the ones on the left and right.
Your next target should be the man standing below on the left. Stun him from the barrier above in order to be able to quickly eliminate his buddy sitting by the computer.
A bit further there's the last trio of enemies. Kill the one with the shield stealthy and get rid of the other two in a more conventional manner.
After you're done, destroy the nearby computer.
That way you will switch off the alarm system and will be able to use the panel inside the room.
Thanks to it you will be able to open the door on the left, behind which the reporter is waiting.
Help her by using the nearby computer (Y) and head further to the right.
Defeat two guards and you will reach a room where the woman will be interrogated.
In order to save her, use Web Rush to jump to the big hole on the right.
On the other side you will have to fight with three guards.
When they're down, the journalist will start searching for the materials. Your task is protecting her from the incoming guards.
The men will appear on four balconies, two on the right and two on the left side. Red lasers will make locating them easier. Quickly jump between them using the Web Rush.
After your companion finds the right tablet, approach her and take her to the corridor from which you came.
There you will find an open door leading to the warehouse.
Jumping above the crates, head to the balcony on the right and afterwards to the elevator on the left.
Soon afterwards you will have to face a slightly stronger enemy. In order to defeat him, start off with a Web Rush and afterwards quickly attack a few times.
When you note that the enemy starts shining green, jump off. You need to wait for the enemy to perform his powerful hit and afterwards attack him one more time in the same way as before.
After the fight, return to your apartment and give Connors his tablet, avoiding a couple riflemen and helicopters on your way. You will also receive a mission form the journalist, who will ask you to take a few photos. Her missions will be marked on the city map.
Right after leaving the apartment you will be able to perform an additional mission of transporting a fugitive to a nearby police station. You will also receive one from the journalist, who will mark a secret lab on your map. Both can be completed when you have some time.
In order to continue with the main mission, head to the entrance marked with a start and press Y.
When you get inside, keep heading forward to a bigger hole. On the right you will see a valve, on which you can use Web Rush.
Repeat this move after a short cinematic and afterwards press RB to get to the other side. Quickly pass under the gate opened for a couple seconds.
A bit further you will come across a big pool of acid.
Jump above it and stand in the middle of the next room. Press Y to create a large spider-web.
You now have to move the camera between the consecutive tunnels. When the controller starts to vibrate, it will mean you're looking at the proper one (number 44).
Head inside it and afterwards defeat the enemy inside.
When the fight is over, you will be able to return to the centre of the sewer and use the web once again.
This time your instinct will lead you to corridor number 47.
Run to the end and go through the hole in the wall.
More enemies await you on the other side.
With all of them lying stunned on the ground, turn right and jump into the sewer.
Jump out on the other side and you will once again find yourself in the middle room.
This time the web will point to corridor 43.
Three mutants will attack you behind the wall on the right. Defeat them and jump over another wall.
There's a real army of beasts above you, so try not to get noticed.
Start off by grabbing the wall on the left and afterwards quickly swing to the other side of the room.
There will probably be one enemy there, who you can get rid of silently.
The further road leads through a hole in the nearby grate.
Head onwards and you will reach a spot where Spider-Man will contact with the journalist. Take a photo of the nearby barrels for her (remember about zooming) and afterwards jump down.
A bit further you will see a flooded tunnel. Use RBto turn the valve on the right and afterwards get to the other side as fast as possible.
The door will stay open only for a couple seconds, so remember about using Web Rush. Start off by jumping onto the pipe on the left, afterwards on the right and from there jump to the very end.
After landing, use the nearby ventilation shaft.
On the other side there's a short fight waiting for you (begin it with a Web Rush) and a bit further an acid-filled corridor.
Move above the toxic stain by sticking to the walls and take care of more enemies.
It's best to eliminate them from a cover.
With the area clear, approach the big pit.
You need to get to the other side and land on the red pipe.
A little stealth now. There's a big group of enemies below and it's best to take care of them silently.
Finish them off one at a time when only they are left alone and afterwards quickly return to a safe spot above (LB).
Turn right at the end of the tunnel and keep going onwards. That way you will reach another corridor with pipes. Silently eliminate the enemies there as well.
When you're done, approach the high waterfall where you will have a short meeting with a beast.
You need to follow it to its lair, where the fight will begin.
The enemy's basic ability is a charge attack. Run way from him each time he lands on the ground and afterwards quickly dodge sideways.
After a successful dodge, approach the enemy and hit him 2-3 times. The beast will then start waving its hands, which you can avoid by quickly pressing Y. With the series over, once again attack the creature.
Keep repeating this until the enemy runs away and robots show up instead.
Use web to defeat them. Mash B to take care of their covers and finish them off with normal attacks.
With the area clear, follow the mutant above.
Outside you will have to follow the rats along the street.
They will lead you to a sewer entrance, inside which the beast has hidden itself.
Follow it inside and afterwards jump down.
Inside the big room you need to create a web (Y) and find the right tunnel.
It's the one with a hole in the wall with a graffiti fragment.
Cross it to the end, defeating the fighting enemies on your way.
It's best to get rid of them from cover. Perform a fast Web Rush from the ceiling and afterwards head back up by pressing LB. The other enemies won't even notice you, busy with fighting others.
As you reach the end, jump through the hole above the door
That way you will return to the main room, where you need to create a web once again.
This time your instinct will lead you to a tunnel with a Cola poster inside.
Pass by it, jump down and follow the group of rats while eliminating enemies on your way. They will lead you to a narrow tunnel, at the end of which you will find the mutant.
Fighting him is the same as before, but this time you can't stay on the ground for too long as you will be attacked by large groups of rats. Use LB to escape and attack with Web Rush more often.
With the creature stunned, the next level will begin.
The mission will begin with a fight with a big robot.
It will fly around the buildings and shoot series of projectiles at Spider-Man, which you of course have to dodge. Apart from that, it can also create an expanding force field. When it does, you should move away as fast as possible.
In order to damage the enemy, follow him and shoot web all the time (B). You will slow it down this way.
When you will be close enough, you will be prompted to press RB. Spider-Man will then land on the robot and will be able to rip off a part of it. For that, mash X. Keep repeating this until the machine explodes.
After you're done with this one, two identical robots will appear. The fight will be a bit more difficult, but the overall tactic stays the same. Defeat both machines and afterwards head to the spot marked with a star.
Your objective is to attach transmitters to three OSCORP antennas.
To do that, just use Web Rush on the marked objects. The antennas are guarded by groups of robots, though you don't need to fight them. Just jump down after planting each transmitter and swing on your web.
When you're done, each side missions will become unlocked. They consist of taking marked civilians to field hospitals. In return for each saved man you will receive some experience points.
The main mission however is to deliver the obtained DNA sample to doctor Connors, who is waiting for you in the apartment.
Using it, the man will create a medicine which you will have to take to the OSCORP tower.
Land on the balcony in the upper part of the building.
After getting inside the building, get rid of the first group of enemies with stealth attacks. After each successful takedown, head back onto the wall (LB) and make some additional jumps to lose the others.
With the room clear, go through the hole in the window on the left.
You will have to fight three enemies, including one with a shield. In order to defeat him, jump behind his back (A) and perform a quick attack in the air (X).
After dealing with all the enemies, destroy the nearby electric barriers generator by quickly pressing X.
That way you will unlock passage to the next location.
Inside the room with the glass floor you will have to defeat more groups of enemies.
After clearing the area, enter the shaft of the broken elevator and climb to the top floor.
Here you will have to take down the enemies silently. Start off by eliminating the guard in front of you and afterwards get rid of the ones on the right and left sides of the room. In the end, take care of the two enemies talking with each other. At some point one of them should see a stunned companion and go to the side. Eliminate him quickly when he does and afterwards deal with his friend.
With all of them lying unconsciousness on the ground, climb up the next elevator shaft, avoiding the green substance stains on your way.
At the end you will find a ventilation shaft which will lead you to a low tunnel.
Head along it, quickly pressing Y when prompted. That way will avoid the mutant's attacks.
On the other side of the tunnel there's a big room with two electric barrier. You need to deactivate them by destroying the generators found on the other side.
In order to do that, use Web Rush on the robot walking nearby and afterwards hold down B.
Spider-Man will throw the machine, destroying the indicated target. Wait for the second drone to appear and do the same with it.
After getting to the other side of the room, you will be attacked two guards in green helmets.
Attack them both with Web Rush and then, after a few punches, return onto the wall (LB). That way you will avoid their powerful attacks.
After the fight, you will be able to move to the next location, where you will come across a turret. Destroy it quickly with Web Rush and move onwards.
Behind the corridor with a big window you should see a wall of red laser.
Go to the other side through the hole on the left, using the nearby computer beforehand and destroying three turrets on your way.
The further road leads behind two big turbines. Stop them for a moment by mashing B and afterwards jump to the other side.
A bit further you will once again come across a wall of lasers. Wait for the opposite turret to aim its beams down and quickly destroy it from the hole on the left. Take care of the one on the right in a similar way.
With the area clear, head back a bit and use the computer to open the door.
On the other side, head inside the ventilation shaft and you will reach the room where Gwen is held.
You will have to fight a few strong robots. In order to defeat them, use Web Rush and then throw out the machines by holding down B. With one of them destroyed, quickly return onto the wall (LB) and repeat the whole process until the area is clear.
Inside the corridor a bit further you will be attacked by a group of guards.
Quickly approach them and eliminate the rifleman on the left. It's the only armed one, so you can easily hide from the others on the ceiling.
Defeat them one at a time using Web Rush and your fists. The ones with shields have to be jumped over and attacked from behind.
After the fight, destroy the barrier generator on the left and move onwards.
After you reach a room with a big tank in the middle, jump to the door on the right. Gwen will open them soon, but first you will have to destroy the incoming robots. Do it by using Web Rush and throwing them (hold down B).
Behind the door you will find an elevator shaft. Follow the platform while avoiding acid spills, red lasers and destroying turrets on your way.
That way you will reach a corridor with more machines.
Destroy them quickly with the well known tactic and afterwards get rid of the turret by the ceiling. It's best to wait for it to activate and fly to the other side. Standing behind it, you will have lots of time to perform a Web Rush.
A bit further you will come across two more similar robots.
After destroying them, you will reach a room with mad scientists.
Eliminate them stealthy, jumping from the ceiling or walls.
After you stun the last enemy, guards will start shooting at you from above. Eliminate them one at a time by using Web Rush.
Move onwards after the fight, jumping through a hole in the barricade.
Eventually you will have to face the Scorpion.
The enemy has a few types of attacks, but the tactic for defeating him is rather easy. Start off by sticking to the nearest wall (LB), do a Web Rush (RB) and punch the creature two or three times.
After you're done, return to the wall (LB). The creature will then use one o fits attacks and you will be able to use Web Rush once again. Repeat the attack until the beast is defeated.
After the fight, run onwards and go through the hole in the right corner of the room.
That way you will get outside, where you will have to fight a giant robot.
In the first phase of the fight you need to mainly focus on avoiding the laser shot by the machine. As soon as you see a red beam focusing on you, quickly press LB to automatically dodge the attack.
After you dodge, keep shooting web (B) at the blue turbine on the enemy's body.
When you manage to block it, the enemy will run underground, only to attack quickly right afterwards. Dodge by pressing Y when prompted.
You will then enter slow-motion and will have a couple second to do a Web Rush at the red element.
Repeat these types of attacks until a helicopter appear. In order to save the reporter, you need to use Web Rush on the machine's head. That way you will begin the second stage of the fight.
Standing on the roof, you need to avoid the tentacles shot at you. To do that, keep running sideways and dodge whenever one of them spreads.
Between dodging, mash B to block the robot's eyes. Also remember not to get too close to the edge of the roof, as you would get hit pretty badly
With one of the eyes completely blocked, follow the commands appearing on the screen. Firstly press Y, then RB and in the end mash B.
After receiving the first hit, the robot will change its attack type. Instead of maces, he will start using a powerful laser which you have to jump over (A).
Just like before, keep attacking the enemy with spider web and afterwards follow the commands on the screen.
After the second hits, the machine will start alternating between using maces and the laser, this time attacking much faster as well. Focus mainly on dodging its attacks, shooting web from time to time. Landing a third hit will almost end the battle.
The last thing you will have to do is use Web Rush on the antenna in front of you and afterwards mash B.
After the best falls, return to the apartment to speak with the doctor.
He will give you a medicine which you need to take to the OSCORP lab. Before you do that however, destroy the antenna blocking the phone.
To do that, climb a high building and find the red beam.
The area will be protected by a few robots.
Defeat them and afterwards destroy the machine. Now you can head to the lab and begin the next mission.
Start off by eliminating the higher guard with stealth attacks. First the ones on the left, finishing off the others normally if they notice you.
With the guards above taken care of, their companions below should pose too much of a threat.
Defeat them and afterwards use the computer inside the small room on the left.
That way you will unlock the door leading to the bigger room, in which the decontamination process will begin.
Firstly you need to use the computer on the other side and destroy all the turrets.
That way you will unlock access to four rooms. Unfortunately barriers will regenerate each time an enemy sees you.
Your objective is defeating the enemies found in each wing and afterwards destroying the generator they're protecting. The machines are always found on the highest floor of a room.
When the last one is destroyed, a big platform will appear in the middle.
Head inside and quickly grab a wall. Each time you land on the ground, the floor and ceiling will be electrified.
Your mission is destroying the four generators standing near each other. Right after you land by one of them, mash X and afterwards run to a safe spot by pressing LB.
Keep repeating this until all the machines are destroyed and a passage leading to the lower level will be created.
A group of guards awaits you there, you can eliminate them silently or by using spider web.
With the last enemy taken care of, head inside the first room on the left. The broken window will let you go even lower.
Below, you will have to fight a big group of enemies with shields.
It's easiest to eliminate them by using the tanks by the walls (RB). When the enemies are stunned, stick them to the ground with web (B).
After eliminating the last guard, the door to a new room will open.
Head inside, go through the hole between the red lasers and grab the wall below.
You will then have to turn around and very quickly get rid of the two towers behind your back.
With both of them destroyed, follow the blue cable to the end of the tunnel while avoiding any fights. There you will find a generator protected by two guards. Eliminate them silently and afterwards destroy the device.
In order to find the second generator, you need to head to the opposite end of the tunnel and get onto the upper floor of the lab.
After you destroy the machine, the nearby door will open.
Go through it and use the computer.
Turrets will appear and you will have to destroy them. Start with the one further to the right.
The further road leads through a hole in the laser wall.
From there jump to the second one, while being sure not to get hit.
A bit further your road will be blocked by a large turbine. Stop it with web and destroy the two turrets on the other side.
The narrow corridor will lead you to another big platform with four generators. This time, apart from an electrified floor, turrets will also appear on the walls.
After you destroy another generator, quickly return onto the wall and destroy the shooting machines.
With the last machine destroyed, you will be moved to the location with the imprisoned scientists.
The corridor around the room is full of enemies. Pass above their heads and find the computer which opens the door. When you see it, stun the guards beside and use it.
On the other side you will have to fight some robots. Destroy their shields with web and throw into a wall by holding down B. If you run low on life, use LB and afterwards quickly jump between walls. That way you will lose them and regenerate a part of your life.
When the fight is over, leave the room and enter the high shaft.
It will lead you to a small room from which you will be able to head into another tunnel.
Climbing up, you will reach a corridor with lots of plants.
Gwen can be found a bit further.
After a short cinematic, head to the spot marked on the map. The fight with the Scorpion will begin.
In order to defeat him, perform quick Web Rushes at the enemy, punch 2-3 times and then return onto one of the lamp posts.
Repeat this process until the enemy jumps to the side and starts shooting acid projectiles. Once again use Web Rush to dodge them, flying above or below them. When Scorpion stops spitting acid, press RB and aim at the enemy.
That's how the whole fight should look like. After a dozen or so hits, the enemy will finally fall.
In order to finish the mission, return to the apartment and speak with the professor.
At the beginning of this level you will get some time for side missions. Help police fight criminals, save sick pedestrians or complete a photography mission.
After a few minutes, you should lose reception in your phone. Three generators standing by the antennas are the cause of it. They can be found by red beams pointing to the sky. You should easily spot them after climbing onto a roof of a tall building.
Firstly eliminate the robots which are protecting them and afterwards destroy the marked targets (X).
After you finish this mission, you will be able to return to you apartment.
When the cinematic is over, you will be attacked by three flying robots.
They're no different from those which you have already fought. Slow them down with web and afterwards attack by pressing RB.
The biggest threat are the powerful force fields, so always try to run from them as fast as possible.
After the fight, head to the lab where the next mission will begin.
After getting inside the lab, crawl forward towards the vent exit. There you will see a short cutscene.
Head out of the room and silently eliminate all the robots above.
Your next targets are the turrets and machines found below.
They protect four generators which you have to destroy.
With the last one of them switched off, the door leading to the production line will be opened.
Go there and head to the other side, blocking hot steam with your web.
At the end you will be attacked by a big group of robots. Before attacking them, quickly shoot web at the passages they come from.
With the last one of them blocked, a platform with even more robots will arrive.
Try to shoot web at them and attack using Web Rush from the walls. Throwing them is by far the best attack (hold down B). Also be sure to use the objects lying around.
After clearing the area, stop the turbine on the platform and head to the other side.
There you will find a tall shaft which you need to follow to the bottom.
At the bottom there's a ventilation shaft. Head inside it, go to the end and listen to a conversation between two scientists.
Moving onwards you will reach a tunnel with steam. You need to avoid them, as they deal considerable damage. Quickly run to the other side when only they disappear.
Further tunnels will take you to doctor Connors' cell.
In order to free him, shoot web at incoming robots and then throw them into the nearby field generators (hold down B and aim with the analog stick).
Once you destroy it, a longer cinematic will start.
Afterwards you're in for a short fight with a large robot. You're no match for it right now, so just let it defeat you and you will land in a room with drones.
The machines won't react unless you step into their red lasers.
Avoid the beams and head to the stairs which will take you to a big room.
On the right you will find your phone and web-shooters.
Pick them up and afterwards approach the two levers on the sides of the large gate.
By pressing Y you will pull them and unlock a passage.
Keep running forward while jumping over pits and blocking steam coming out of the pipes. You need to be fast, so that the robots can't catch you.
At some point you will reach a spot where the bridge is broken. Turn to the left then and use web on the vehicle below.
That way you will pull in a platform thanks to which you can jump to the other side.
Afterwards head left. At the end you will find another pit which you can cross with the help of a moving platform.
Move onwards and you will reach a spot where you will be attacked by drones. Quickly block them with web and enter the nearby corridor. The door will lock behind you and you will be safe for some time.
The further road leads through red lasers and turrets which react to them.
Run onwards, block the turrets with spider web and hide in the side rooms from time to time.
Your target is a warehouse filled with crates. Jump between them while avoiding laser beams and climb to the very top.
That way you will reach a room with a big generator.
Firstly use the nearby computer and afterwards go down and up the stairs on the other side.
There you will find a panel, using which you can move the reactor to the side.
Afterwards go back to the exit, using the second panel on your way (this time the machine will go down).
Use the computer for the last time and the reactor will destroy the wall, unlocking a new passage.
Get to the other side and towards the big broken window.
Jump into the room behind it and enter the corridor.
The further road goes right. Disable the turrets with web and eventually you should reach a warehouse with crates.
Jump up along them while avoiding lasers and stop the nearby spinning turbine.
Turn right behind it, avoiding another fan.
That way you will reach a walkway with a yellow barrier. Move onwards (don't stop!) and turn left behind the stairs.
When a piece of the construction gets destroyed, move along the red pipe.
At some point the camera will turn and a large robot arm will fall right beside you. Move towards the TV screen.
That way you will get outside and witness the cataclysm caused by the machines.
You need to head to the sewers, where the professor is waiting for you. The location of the lab will be marked on the map.
After you reach the sewers, turn right. After watching a longer cinematic you will be able to head to town and begin the mission.
At first you will land inside a robot and your task will be to destroy its power supply. Keep mashing X.
A bit later you will have to fight a group of machines.
Defeat all the drones and Web Rush to the shining door which Lizard is trying to open.
Help him open them by mashing X.
After you manage to do it, Spider-Man will destroy the first of the large robot's two engines.
The second one can be blow up similarly. Once you do it, the next phase of the battle will begin.
This time you have to run around Smyth, shoot web at him and dodge the laser attacks. Most of them can be dodged by running sideways, but the crossing ones must be avoided by going towards the enemy. However don't get too close, as you will get hit by the force field surrounding the professor.
When the enemy starts blinking red, use Web Rush and destroy one of his arms.
You need to repeat this three times and the battle will come to an end.
Go straight all the way until you come across the first group of enemies.
Don't attack them. Instead, grab the wall on the left and from there quickly jump to the other side of the room.
Kill the enemies by the exit stealthy or by using the nearby items.
Get rid of the enemies in the corridor similarly. Further road leads through the ventilation shaft at the end of the tunnel.
That way you will reach a room with a valve. Turn it and afterwards go along the red pipe on the left.
It will lead you to a turbine which you need to stop and head to the other side.
At the bottom you will find another fan. Behind it there's a valve which you need to turn.
The second one is behind the turbine on the right (above).
The last one can be found in the middle of the room. To turn it, stand beside it behind the acid pool.
That way you will unlock the hatch behind which you will have to fight the piranha-man.
Before attacking him, drain the room by turning one of the valves on the wall. Otherwise your enemy will be able to dodge most of your attacks.
Afterwards punch the beast two times and quickly dodge. Keep repeating this throughout the fight.
At some point, the enemy will call in a group of similar monster to help him. Get rid of them just like the main enemy. You can attack the lesser Piranhas even if there's water in the room.
After a few series the fight will come to an end and you will be able to head to the further part of the tunnel.
Go straight all the way while avoiding any fight and you will reach a bigger room full of enemies.
Grab the ceiling and get rid of the mutants on the upper walkway by using the nearby cabinet.
Head onwards and you will reach a corridor filled with acid. Fly to the other side using Web Rush.
The red pipes will lead you to a ventilation shaft, while the shaft to a big room where Gwen is hiding.
Your mission is protecting the girl from incoming mutants.
You should always firstly stun the enemies on balconies. Attack the ones below only after eliminating them. It's best to shoot web at them and then throw against a wall (hold down B).
From time to time, Gwen will be attacked by the Lizard. Do a quick Web Rush then and continue the fight.
When the fight is over, approach the machine and press Y.
Soon you will be attacked by the Lizard.
During the fight, try attacking with Web Rush, punch 1 or 2 times and retreat with fast dodges.
Keep repeating this tactic until the enemy moves away and stands in one place. You will then have to stick him to the wall (RB).
You will gain a few seconds to move a part of the damaged robot
Jump to the machine (RB) and start pressing X.
The Lizard will afterwards free himself and jump onto you. Dodge his attack by pressing Y.
Keep repeating this until you finally get the antidote out. Follow the sewer all the way straight to reach the spot where the second part of the battle will begin.
This time you will have to shoot web at the enemy until he stops.
When he does, jump to him and punch a couple times. Remember about pressing Y after 2-3 hits to dodge the enemy's attacks.
After getting damaged enough, Lizard will fall from the platform. Start quickly pressing X to give him the antidote, though you will succeed only after the third attempt
It might happen during the fight that you will start falling down the sewer. In such case you need to quickly press LB or RB to quickly return above.
After you finally give the antidote to the best, the fight will come to an end. That way you will also finish the last main mission and return to Parker's apartment.
Now you can finish all the side missions, find collectibles and jump around town in a new suit.

After you head underground, stop the nearby turbine and head to the other side.
On the left you will see a train car blocking the way. Go towards it and turn right around the middle of the tunnel.
You need to jump through a big broken window. On the other side there will be a few enemies waiting for you. Get rid of them by using the items placed by the wall.
When you're done, use the nearby computer. That way you will turn the car.
Return to the rails and push the machine towards you. That way you will unlock a further passage.
Turn right behind the car, defeat a group of mutants and head to the other side of the room.
On the left you will see a platform on an extension arm. Jump onto it and to the upper floor of the location.
The further road leads through the hole on the right.
Behind it you will find two generators. Connect them with web (RB) and head through the open door.
Behind it you will have to fight a group of mutants. Stun them by throwing a nearby container and afterwards stick to the ground with web.
With the area clear, head onwards through the only open tunnel.
Behind the wall you will find another subway car. Go behind it and pull to the other side of the room.
That way you will unlock a turbine with a generator requiring repairs behind it.
Make it work again and return to where you fought with the mutants to find a previously closed entrance to a tunnel.
After defeating some more enemies, turn the valve behind the grate while standing on the ground (RB).
That way you will open another door.
Go through it and look to the right. Below you should see a platform, from which you will be able to pull towards yourself the first subway car.
Afterwards head to the office on the upper floor of the room and use the computer found inside.
That way you will turn another machine.
You need to pull it towards the platform on the left.
Once again use the computer and pull the last car.
That way, the turbine will get unblocked.
Stop it and head to the other side, where one of the kidnappers will be waiting for you.
After a short conversation, jump down onto the lower level of the sewers.
The tunnel will lead you to a room filled with a green substance. Choose the corridor on the right.
In order to open the next door, you need to turn the nearby valve.
Go onwards and you will reach the lower level of the sewers, where you will find a tunnel filled with the green substance.
Cross it to the other side, blocking the steam with web.
On the left you will find a lever which switches off the water flow and on the right generators which open the door above.
Return to the upper level along the same path and block the turning turbine.
Behind it there's a hole, at the bottom of which you will have to fight an iguana.
Start off by eliminating all the weaker enemies. Block their moves with web shots and stun by throwing them (hold down B).
As they fall down, run onto the wall and afterwards quickly return and pin them down to the ground.
After eliminating the last mutant, move to the iguana itself. Hit it 2-3 times with your fists and quickly dodge. Press Y twice when prompted and continue attacking the enemy.
Killing the enemy will also end the mission.
In order to begin the mission, you need to enter a bank surrounded by police.
The entrance can be found high above the front door.
After getting inside, start off by eliminating the two riflemen standing on the balconies on the right.
Get rid of the other enemies silently, hiding before the pillars above in case they notice you.
After clearing the area, head to the security room and turn right.
Defeat a couple bandits and you will reach a spot where the guard is being held. Free him and you will receive a special code.
You need to use it at the security computer which can be found by the broken window.
When you do it, the SWAT team will enter.
Now head to the bank's CEO office above on the right and enter the ventilation shaft found there.
At its end you will be automatically attacked by a group of bandits. Firstly get rid of the armed ones and afterwards take care of the rest of them.
A bit further you will come across Felicia. Listen to what she has to say and head onwards.
After reaching the subway station, go through the broken window to the next car.
At its end you will see a hole in the ceiling which will lead you to a room with bandits.
Firstly, silently eliminate the enemies above and then below.
With the area clear, head onwards along the only possible corridor.
At its end you will have to fight the gang leader.
The fight consists of two repeating phases. During the first one you have to run from grenades that Felicia throws (LB) and afterwards shoot web at Felicia from the walls.
With the woman slowed down, perform a Web Rush and hit her a couple times.
In the second phase of the fight, your enemy will start hiding behind pillars. In order to catch her, hold down RB to see where she exactly is.
After locating her, jump onto the ceiling above and attack with Web Rush, followed by a couple punches.
Repeat both phases a couple times until the fight comes to an end.
Afterwards return to the exit to finish the mission.
The entrance can be found at the shore, behind some destroyed grates.
Follow the corridor full of acid and at some point a Rhino will charge at you.
When the mutant disappears, climb onto the upper floor and once again speak with the worker.
The further road leads to a corridor full of acid.
At its end you will find two steam leaks which you need to block.
Quickly head to the other side and enter the corridor on the left.
Behind some more leaks there's a group of enemies. Instead of fighting them, jump onto the upper level and defeat two foes there.
A bit further there's a big room full of mutants. Firstly get rid of the two shooting ones. With them stunned, take care of the others.
On the right you will find a small room with a pump.
Repair it and head to the corridor on the left.
Defeat the first enemies silently. The big group below is best taken care of by using the red locker.
After you reach a room with a big tank in the middle, follow the corridor to the right.
It will lead you to a spot where a worker is waiting for you.
Speak to him and afterwards jump to the right.
On the left there's a tunnel above which there are red pipes. Go along them onto the upper level, avoiding any fights with mutants.
Find a valve and turn it.
Afterwards move onwards along the nearby corridor, blocking any steam leaks on your way.
That way you will reach a big room.
Use the computer there and you will be attacked by a Rhino.
In order to defeat him, stand on one of the plates between the poles and wait for the beast to charge at you. Dodge it by quickly pressing Y and the enemy will run to the other side, destroying a part of the construction. You need to destroy the other plates similarly.
With them gone, use Web Rush to create a web between the poles.
You need to make the Rhino run into it.
When he does, press RB, aim at the enemy and shoot a projectile.
Repeat this a couple times to finish the fight.
To end the mission, leave the room and speak with the man waiting for you.
On the map of Manhattan you can find a number of icons which refer to certain types of challenges. They are usually very short and let you quickly gain the experience needed to develop your character. Below you will find a list of all mission types, along with a short description. The photography missions are described separately, as they require more detailed hints.
In this type of missions, your task is to steal secret information from OSCORP computers. Firstly however, you need to silently eliminate all the guards.
In order to do that, grab the ceiling right above the enemy, aim at him and use Web Rush (RB) when he shines violet.
After each such attack, press LB a couple times and Spider-Man will start jumping between walls, therefore losing the chase.
With the last guard stunned, approach the shining computers and use them. That way you will end the mission. Also remember that each mission of this type has an item which you can take a photo of. Their description can be found in the chapter dedicated to collectibles found inside buildings.
These missions consist of saving civilians from bandits.
Just beat all the criminals and approach their victim to end the mission.
In order to complete this mission, you have to find a Beloit Patient or Infected Civilian and take him onto your shoulders.
When you do, the place where you need to take him will be marked on the map.
In order to begin this mission, use Web Rush (RB) on a police helicopter.
It will take you to a spot where you need to take care of a group of bandits.
It's best to do it silently by using Web Rush. After each successful attack, start quickly pressing LB to escape.
Approach a police car and press Y to begin a car chase.
When you see the chased car, jump onto it with Web Rush.
You will then have to shoot web at the front window (B) and dodge bullets from time to time (Y). After a few series, the mission will end.
These missions require you to take a photo of places or people described by your journalist friend. As you enter the area, a list of three targets that you need to photograph will appear. A detailed description and location of the missions can be found below.

The developers have hidden 700 comic pages in Manhattan. Collecting them unlocks Marvel comics available in the "Extras" menu. 600 pages are hidden in particular places and the other 100 are gliding above the city in given areas (they are very small).
In order to obtain the gliding pages, you need to use Web Rush (RB) on them and then press Y when prompted. Below you can find maps with the comic pages marked on tem. Red dots point the stationary pages, while green the flying ones. Also remember that after collecting 500 of them, all others will be marked on the in-game map.

After saving Gwen from the mutant, head onwards until you see robots behind a window. Go left behind them and behind the second door you will find the first recording.

After a short meeting with a woman named Felicia, turn right and go through the hole on the left.
Behind it you will need to fight a few enemies. Defeat them and pick up the magazine lying by the lockers on the left.

The seventh magazine can be found in the same room as the previous one. To the right of the entrance.

After going up the burning staircase, defeat the nearby rifleman.
However before you jump down, go through the burning barricade on the right. Behind it there's the last magazine.

After taking the elevator down, enter the ventilation shaft behind your back and get rid of the guards on the other side.
When they're unconscious, enter another narrow passage of the right.
On the other side you should see another hole in front of you.
The recording has been hidden inside.

After taking a photo for the reporter, you will reach a big room filled with enemies.
Approach the barrier on the right and look down. On the ground you should see the second recording.
Magazine 01
After the first stealth attack, turn right. By the ceiling on the left there's another guard waiting for you.
Get rid of him and pick up the magazine on the right.

Can be found left of the window which you broke using the crate hanging by the ceiling.

Hidden in the same room in which you will fight with a guard armed with a shield.

After taking a photo for the reporter, you will reach a big room filled with enemies.
Take them down stealthy and head to the middle of the room. With beside the grates with steam coming out of them you will find the magazine. Collect it while looking out for the hot steam.

After going through the ventilation shaft with steam, you will reach a room full of enemies.
Defeat them all and head to the other side of the room. To the left of the locked door there's a magazine.

Hidden right beside the entrance to the room where the reporter is interrogated.

After obtaining the tablet, take the journalist onto your back and return to the corridor from which you came.
There you will find an open door leading to a warehouse with crates.
After you head inside, jump to the wall across from the entrance and afterwards turn right. Beside the big crate there's the magazine.

Inside the same warehouse, above on the right there's a balcony leading to the exit.
Right beside it, on a pile of crates you should find the last item.

After you obtain the first magazine, jump to the other side of the room and turn left. By the wall there will be two men standing. One above and one below.
Beside the second one you will find the item you're looking for.

After riding the elevator down, enter the narrow tunnel behind your back and afterwards get rid of the two guards at its end.
To the right of them you will find the manual.

After taking the photo for the reporter, you will reach a big room filled with enemies.

At some point, you and the journalist will need to hack into the computers in the archive.

The first piece can be found right beside the guard on which you trained stealth takedowns.

After riding the elevator down, enter the ventilation shaft behind your back.
Eliminate the further enemies while staying in the narrow corridors, you will reach a big room with a couple groups of enemies.
Two rooms will be divided by a pile of crates. Land on it and search the right edge.
The second piece should be lying on the ground.
Tech Piece 03
The third one is to the right of the second.
It's hidden on a balcony, beside the barrier.
Tech Piece 04
After taking the reporter photo you will reach a big room filled with enemies.
Defeat them all and the door on the other side of the room will open.
Turn left before them and grab onto the crates there. The Tech Piece is hidden on one of them.
Tech Piece 05
After obtaining the fourth Piece, go through the fourth door and go along the corridor. At its end on the left you will find the ventilation shaft entrance.
Head inside and pick up another Piece.
Tech Piece 06
On the other side of the tunnel you will find a room full of enemies. The Tech has been hidden between three enemies in the bottom part of the location.
Tech Piece 07
After reaching the big room where the reporter is interrogated, jump through the balustrade on the left.
Below in the corner you will find another Tech Piece.
Tech Piece 08
Inside the same location in which the previous Piece was hidden, you should see a big incinerator.
Stand in front of him and jump through the door on the right. Behind it there's the item you're looking for. Remember however that the door will be opened only after the journalist finds the proper tablet.

After a chase along the streets you will reach another sewers.
Inside the big room, choose the tunnel with the turbine and jump down to the very bottom.
There you will find another fan.

After going through the ventilation shaft, defeat the enemy on the other side and afterwards enter the nearby corridor.

After you manage to silently take care of all the enemies in the first tall sewer (the one with red pipes), turn right and jump high up.
On the highest platform, you will find the magazine.

After a chase along the city streets you will reach another sewer.
Inside the big room, choose the tunnel with a rectangular entrance and yellow-black stripes, behind which there's a burning barrel.
At its end, behind acid pools, you will find another magazine.

Right after heading into the laboratory, turn left. The Tech is hidden at the end of the yellow rod.

After opening the first door, you should see a strange sculpture in the middle.
Go round it and pick up the second Tech Piece.

Quickly jump onto the wall on the other side and look right. The item is lying on the ventilation shaft.

From the decontamination room, head to room 205/204 and find the ventilation shaft on the upper floor.

The next is on a locker in room 204.
It can be found in the right corner of the room.

After reaching the lower level of the lab, you will have to fight a couple enemies with shields.
Defeat them and head to the end of the only possible corridor. The next Tech has been hidden there.

Beside the previous crate you should see a couple of red lasers.
Flying through the hole between them, grab onto the wall below and destroy the turrets behind your back.
The Tech Piece can be found inside the long tunnel.

After destroying two generators blocking the door, go through the door and jump through the hole in the laser wall.
The next Piece will by lying on the other side on the ground.

The ninth Tech is inside the corridor surrounding the imprisoned scientists.
It's lying nearby the red lasers.

After saving the group of scientists, enter the high shaft and jump onto the destroyed metal ring.

However instead of climbing it up, jump to the very bottom and pick up the package.

It's at the very end of the walkway with a vehicle with a platform moving by it.

After heading out of the storehouse and behind the turbine, turn left. At the end of the tunnel there's another crate.

After you get back onto the walkway with red barriers, head straight all the way until you reach the first branching.
On the left you will see steam leaks. Fix the holes with spider web and pick up the last Piece found a couple metres further.

After defeating the Piranha, turn left and enter the ventilation shaft which will lead you to a short tunnel.
Go straight while avoiding the enemies and you will see the fourth magazine on the right.

Now return to the room where you fought with the Piranha and go further straight.
Avoid the enemies and you will reach a location with a large container filled with debris on the right.
The next magazine is on top of it.

After reaching the corridor filled with acid, move to the other side with Web Rush.
Further on you will find a red pipe which will lead you to a spot with a neon coffee commercial.
Grab onto the wall on the right and turn left to find the eighth magazine.

Moving onwards you will reach a spot with one enemy and an "Irish Pub" sign on the wall.
Defeat the mutant and pick up the magazine hidden on the left.

The last item can be found on the other side of the room in which you found Gwen

You need to jump onto it and fly to the wall behind your back.

By the red locker on the left you will find the third magazine.

After starting up the second generator, return to the room where you fought the mutants and enter the newly opened tunnel.

At some point you will come across a valve, the turning of which will cause the large door to open. Cross it to the other side and you will see the magazine on crates.

In order to move further, you need to turn the nearby valve to open the door.
Go straight all the way and you will reach a location in which there will be two blue crates on the left.

Inside Parker's apartment you will find a wardrobe for superhero costumes. New ones can be acquired in various ways, but mostly by taking photos of Spider-Man symbols hidden throughout Manhattan. To make things harder, the symbols appear only during given months or years. In order to obtain them all without the unnecessary waiting, do the following:
- switch off the game
- make sure the console is offline (disconnected from the Internet)
- change the date in system settings
- turn the game back on

At the marked spot there's a strange glass monument.
The next symbol is hidden on one of the windows. It will appear only in December!
