The cities on the map are the ones in which you can place the headquarters of your company. The blue ones were added in the Scandinavia expansion, whereas the green ones are there since the last expansion - Poland.
With the Scandinavia expansion, nineteen big cities and several smaller ones are added to the game (blue points on the map). New territories like Denmark, southern Norway, central Sweden and southern Sweden are introduced.
New cities in the game are:
This map shows the cities in which you can find recruitment agencies.
Along with new cities, there are also new recruitment agencies available. You will find them in:
The mechanics of managing your company are still the same. As you develop the business, you buy new vehicles, more garages and you of course need to visit a recruitment agency, because you need someone to drive the trucks. To visit a recruitment agency, drive to one of them or use the appropriate icon in the company managing menu.
In a recruitment agency, you can view the CVs and hire the most suitable driver. When you choose a driver to hire, mind the work evaluation - the higher the better. Another important thing is the salary, which basically means how much the driver wants to earn for every kilometer. The last, but not least, of the factors are the skills of every driver. Long distance is the most important one. Combined with for example ecological driving gives you a solid employee. However, don't let your choice depend solely on the starting skills, because the drivers will earn new skills as they continue to work for you. For every driver you hire, the recruitment agency will take 1500
The map shows all the truck dealers in the game.
In the expansion, along with new cities, new truck dealer points are added to the game. They are: DAF dealer in Bergen, Iveco dealer in Copenhagen, MAN in Linkoping, Majestick in Kalmar and Volvo in Gotesburg.
To buy a truck, you need to drive to a truck dealer or you can also buy it online (this option only works after you buy five vehicles). As you develop your business and earn more money (you can also take a loan), you can buy more vehicles and employ drivers. You can also switch the truck that you drive for a better one, or upgrade it in a service shop. To buy a truck, you have to drive to a truck dealer (until you have five vehicles, which gives you the option to buy new ones online). Remember that truck dealers are opened from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Your choice about which truck to buy depends mainly on how much money you have.Your choice depends on how much money you have and what brand and design you prefer. When configuring a truck, you should mind three things: the chassis (the more axles the better is the stability on the road), the engine (the more powerful the better) and gear box. As you advance onto higher levels of experience, new parts will appear in the shops. Therefore, after buying a truck, don't forget to upgrade it later.
DAF vehicles can be bought in eight cities: Salzburg (Austria), Amsterdam (Holland), Bremen and Leipzig (Germany), Bergen (Norway), Zurich (Switzerland), Cardiff and Glasgow (Great Britain).
IVECO vehicles can be bought in seven cities: Wien (Austria), Brussel (Belgium), Copenhagen (Denmark), Fraknfurt and Hamburg (Germany), Grimsby (Great Britain), Torino (Italy).
MAN vehicles can be bought in nine cities: Calais (France), Berlin, Dormund and Munchen (Germany), Cracow (Poland), Bern (Switzerland), Linkoping (Sweden), Birmingham and Edinburgh (Great Britain).
Majestic vehicles can be bought in nine cities: Rotterdam (Netherlands), Stuttgart (Germany), Warsaw and Szczecin (Poland), Bratislava (Slovakia), Geneve (Switzerland), Kalmar (Sweden), Newcastle and Plymouth (Great Britain).
Renault Trucks vehicles can be bought in eight cities: Praha (Czech Republic), Lyon and Paris (France), Dusseldorf and Rostock (Germany), Oslo (Norway), Budapest (Hungary), Felixstowe (Great Britain).
Scania vehicles can be bought in nine cities: Lille and Strasbourg (France), Dresden and Hannover (Germany), Gdansk (Poland), Aberden and Manchester (Great Britain), Milano (Italy), Stockholm (Sweden).
Volvo vehicles can be bought in six cities: Luxembourg (Luxembourg), Osnabruck and Nurnberg (Germany), Wroclaw (Poland), Goteborg (Sweden), London (Great Britain), Verona (Italy).
Road map of Denmark.
The developers included the whole territory of Denmark in the game. The main road is a highway that links the northern part with the southern part. On the one end of it, we have the German border and on the other one, we have two port cities. On the eastern edge of the map, there is the Swedish border and on the werstern edge of it - another port city. There are three big cities and four smaller towns.
The eastern part of the country is rich in impressive bridges. They are wide and it is easy to drive on them. Photo radars ar rare in this country.
The number of bridges is not the only impressive thing. There is also a lot of long tunnels. When driving in a tunnel, you have to be careful because of the difficult curves.
Unfortunately, to drive across a bridge, you have to pay. You need to spend some money each time you drive across a bridge connecting Sweden and Denmark or one of the bridges between the islands in Denmark. You can do it without stopping. Simply drive through the appropriate gate (the one with electronic payment) and the money will be automatically taken from your account.
In the western part of the country, there are some narrow roads. One of them is the road going along the western coast. From the port cities (in the west, north and south), you can quickly get to another country across the sea.
Road map of Norway.
In the game, we can visit only the northern part of Norway with only four cities. Driving across this country is not very pleasant. You will see highways only near the capital city, Oslo, in the eastern part of the map.
Moreover, the highways are rather short. Far more often, you will be driving on narrow roads. The roads are winding and full of bridges and tunnels.Norway is quite a difficult contry to travel across.
What's interesting, is that some roads require you to pay for using them, despite their low quality. The only good thing is that the price is low and you don't have to stop to pay. Just use the electronic payment gate and the money will be automatically taken from your account.
Most of the roads in Norway are full of bends and lead through mountainous areas. However, all four cities have ferry connection with Denmark.
Road map of Sweden.
Sweden is the most important country in the newest expansion. We can visit the cetral and southern part of the country with 12 new cities. It means hundreds of kilometers of new roads.
There are a lot of dual carriageway highways. The main roads go along the western coast, from Oslo (Norway) through Malmo to Denmark and from Stockholm to Malmo.
Besides motorways, there is also quite a lot of usual roads. The speed is often limited to 50km/h because of the nearby towns and villages. The scheme usually looks the same: there is the built-up area sign and a photo radar behind it. After driving through two intersections, the built-up area ends.
If you want to get to Denmark, you need to use a bridge for which you have to pay. You can also take a ferry to go either to Denmark or to Germany.
In Sweden, there are a lot of roads with 2+1 system, which means that there are two lanes in one direction and one in the other. After a while, the situation reverses and the pattern is 1+2. You may encounter some road works from time to time. In such a situation, there is a shuttle service.
Aalborg is a large city in the northern part of Denmark. It is located near the main motorway, leading from Germany through Denmark to the ports on the north. From the ports you can get to Norway or Sweden.
The city is located to the west of the motorway. Despite it being quite large, the roads are often narrow. In the center of the city, you will find a gas station, recruitment agency and other standard objects. There is only one company. However, east of the city, there are three more. You need to take a road leading above the motorway. If you take the road leading west from the city center, you will reach another three companies. Together it gives you 7 such companies around this city.
