Bloons Tower Defense is a series of Tower defense-style games using the Bloons brand produced by Mochi Media,[1] initially a browser game, then available as an iPhone app. Players use monkeys, tack towers, darts, freezing, and cannons to burst balloons before they reach the exit.[2] Wired called it "pop culture at its best".[3] Bloons TD 4 Expansion, released in 2010, is the latest version.[4] The game was retitled Bloons TD in January 2010 due to infringement on the TowerDefense trademark owned by Com2uS.[5] Bloons TD 5 is to be released late 2011.
