You begin where you just left off in Empire City. The story will begin where you left off in the first one (as a hero or a villain). Cole McGraph has been warned by Kessler that his arch-nemessis, "The Beast" will come to bring Armageddon to Earth. In the first one, Cole finds out that Kessler was really him. That Kessler failed to defeat the beast and went back in time to help Cole become the hero he never became. He created the "Ray Sphere" to boost Cole's power to him earlier than when he would really get them, hoping that Cole would have more time to prepare for "The Beast". A month after the quarantine in Empire City, Cole meets Lucy Quo, a former agent of the FBI who came to help him prepare. She knew a man named Dr. Wolfe who was the head of the "Ray Sphere" project. She explained to Cole that Dr. Wolfe had a way to amplify Cole's powers ten fold. So Cole and his best friend, Zeke head to New Marais (or New Orleans in real life) to meet with Dr. Wolfe to boost his powers. But it's all up to you. Will you save humanity, or help destroy it.
