What does bloons tower defense do for the brain

Most people don't do what the game wants you to do. Bloons tower defense series is supposed to make you do maths. Adding up how much money you have got to how much you can do with the things that pop the balloons. But as I say, most people just randomely upgrade and buy stuff. so there is a little maths practice in this game.
