Positives and negatives of video games

Positives and negatives of video games
Positives: It keeps you occupied. They're very intriguing, and they are FUN!! They also interact with you, unlike TV. You have to press buttons and use your visual skills.

Negatives: They can be VERY violent!! There is a lot of shooting and it can influence anyone who sees them. If, of course, you buy/ rent nonviolent video games, you should be fine.

Remember, video games are just as bad for your brain as TV is. You do have to interact, but limit your daily time for video games. You can get the same fun, exhilarating feeling if you get outside and become more active. You should also check the rating for kids playing the video games. If they are little, go with E. If they are older and more mature (and you think they can handle PG-13 movies), you can try M or T. Just make sure if they are playing M or T, that they are being watched. Those games can have some violence or inappropriate scenes. Overall, they are both equally good and bad. Just limit your time and keep an eye on kids playing.
The good/ bad things about gaming.

Positives
1. Hand/Eye coordination
2. Believe it or not, you can learn a few things from video games. What I commonly learn is wise adages. That sounds corny, but I learn things like, "Impossible is a word that quitters use to make themselves feel better."
3. They're just plain fun.
4. Gives you something to do when hosting parties.

5. Learning how to have patients while playing the game, and learning how to get past something you thought you couldn't get past.

6.It keeps you occupied. They're very intriguing, and they are FUN!! They also interact with you, unlike TV. You have to press buttons and use your visual skills

Negatives
1. There is a common, yet annoying, stereotype that people who play video games are mindless, dorky freaks. Being a gamer, this I know for a fact is not true.
2. If you get too addicted, you could go to living in your basement/room where you only leave for school.
3. After constantly playing them, they can get really boring causing you to be waiting forever for then next game to come out.
4. They can be VERY violent!! There is a lot of shooting and it can influence anyone who sees them. If, of course, you buy/ rent nonviolent video games, you should be fine.

· What I think about gaming….
-I think that eventually it can help you, at least with some thing to do or have fun with a friend,
-It helps you with seeing things faster like guitar hero does, it goes fast and if you keep playing you'll get used to it, like then you go some were and looking for some thing quick, you'll have a better chance of finding it.
