Can Metal Gear become real

It is very possible to make Metal Gear, there are only two problems: first, it would cost a fortune to make one, let alone a brigade; and second, it isn't really needed by the military. What we have now, the soldiers and tanks and planes, work just fine, so there is no real reason to make it.
