What does the burning crusade mean

The Burning Crusade is a name for the push by heroes in Azeroth to open the gate between Azeroth and Outland. The Draeni and Blood Elves were closed off from Azeroth by the third war. The main point of the Crusade is to defeat Illidan Stormrage in the Black Temple.
