How does your wow account get banned

Your World of Warcraft account can be banned (temporarily or permanently) for anything that breaks the terms of service, including buying/selling gold or accounts, harassment, use of bots, discrimination, excessive spamming in general or trade chat or abusing ingame mechanics for your own benefit.

If such a thing is identified, a Game Master will lock your account so you cannot play, and you will receive an email notifying that you have been banned.
