How do you you pick a lock in Oblivion

if your talking about xbox 360 then i have the answer dont know if its different on computer but all you have to do is by some lockpicks or find them in crates or something. i buy them from this thieves guide dude in the big city cant remember what it is called but its pretty obvious when you get there but depending on your skill lvl you can pick tougher locks. also depending on the lock diffuculty and your skill will tell you how many lockpicks it will take tell your guy finally gets it open.
