What is the best gun of left 4 dead 2

Shotguns are crap on that game. id know iv beat the game and logged about 3 months worth of play onlineand off. what i use most is a ak-47 with a laser sight and as melee a fireaxe. keeps me alive alot longer then any 1 else online.
