Is the current trend in game publishers licencing their games through the internet for download better than purchasing them in a store
Pros:
some games require a disk to play, but not if you buy it online, so you dont have to find a game disk before you play it.
if you buy it on the internet, you can always download it again if you wipe your hard drive, but you can easily lose or scratch a disk
you often get updates for the games.
you dont have to leave your home or wait for the post to come
you can get your friends to download it.

Cons:
you have to wait for the download to complete
you dont get the box or the manual
you cant lend a disk to your friend to use it on his account, i.e. you wont be able to play him on counter strike if you give him your password, but you can if you get a disk.

It all depends on what you see as necessary. If you are too lazy to get out of bed, but you dont want to wait a few days for the post, you could buy it online and save time, but if you have a compulsive need to have the box to read, and the manual, just in case, then buy it from a store.
