Where was 3d invented

You may remember, every game on the old platform consoles used to be a 2D left to right game style. A company called id Software wanted to create the 3D technology video game, which then they created Doom. When the technology was released, most gaming companies went the same way and got involved with 3D gaming.
If you are meaning 3D like 3D TV's and movies etc. This technology was out for many many years where you had to wear red and blue paper glasses. Just recently, they bought the technology back, bigger and better than before. As Nintendo as show you, playing a handheld console with 3D technology doesn't need glasses to view 3D. With this, Sony is now looking at 3D display and even Apple.
