Why does RuneScape have such bad graphics
Why does RuneScape have such bad graphics
- RuneScape is created by Java, and with the massive amount of data they have to update, their workforce could not handle it. And even done, it would lag a lot, which would finally resort to having players download it. So it would defeat it's purpose as a web based game.
- No, they are not greedy, they have been updating a lot.
well its not necessarily jagix's fault.he's been updating alot,so if you want better graphics, then go to high quality(members required) but its not so easy to make a perfect game with oyutsanding graphics.
Runescape is created using Java. This platform is what runs the graphics on things like the games on your phone. It is a very 'light weight' program. Jagex uses this language because they want their game to be available to anyone, anywhere. I can play Runescape on my 10 year old computer is I want. Other games such as WoW are all about the graphics and they don't really take into account that most people don't have brand new systems that have top of the line graphics cards.
Jagex has done absolutely amazing things with Java. So much so that they are routinly making Java update their software to be able to handle the new challenges that Jagex throw at it.
Andrew Gower (creator of Runescape) once said that he created Runescape so that people everywhere could access it without going out and buying new machines.
