What is Zwinky

Zwinky Zwinky is a website where you can make your own dolls and where you can chat with your friends. There is an application that you must download and install onto your computer in order to participate with Zwinky.

Zwinky is a software application designed to spread spyware. It is recommended that you remove it and run full spyware and virus scans. Zwinky has been declared to NOT be badware. See the Related Link for more information. What it does that originally classified it as malware or spyware is:

• Adds toolbar "Web Search" to numerous programs & modifies other software
• Bundled software automatically runs on startup & interferes with computer use
• Redirects invalid web addresses & modifies other software

Some programs do "force" installation of various toolbars in order to be "free". You can sometimes avoid installation of such toolbars during a Custom Installation, rather than a typical/standard installation. We do not yet know if this is possible with Zwinky (we haven't tried it!).


Zwinkies are customizable social avatars that are part of the MyWeb Searchbar on computers running Windows. The user creates an inanimate character that represents themselves using specific characteristics/traits to represent their physical aspects.
