Why do Star Fox characters wear winter clothes all the time

Star Fox is set in the 2010s in a binary star system and they do a lot of traveling in space. It might be colder there, and it is probably always a little cold in space... cheaper to heat spaceships if you supplement the heat with warm clothing. :)
