Will computer games damage eyesight
There is no evidence that links computer games and reduced eyesight.
Sitting to close to the screen, using a screen that is too big or small, not taking breaks from using a display screen or otherwise using the screen improperly can cause damage to eyesight.
Although, this can occur without actually playing computer games.
To prevent possible damage to eyesight, follow these dot points.
  • Sit furthest away from the screen as comfortable.
  • Use a screen that is not too big or small so that reading text or viewing images on the screen is comfortable and not difficult.
  • Take breaks of ten (ten) to fifteen (15) minutes away from the screen every one (1) hour.
  • Take micro-breaks for several seconds from the screen every fifteen (15) to thirty (30) minutes.
  • Stop using a display screen if you feel uncomfortable viewing the screen, or looking at the screen cause pain like headaches. If this continues, consult a doctor.
