What do you get out of video games

Well, that depends on the game itself on what it can teach you, for example certain games can teach you strategy. For example, lets say that someone wants to be a military commander. If they played games as a kid, they could've gotten a little knowledge in strategy and tactics. Or if you like puzzle games, you can analyze and find patterns. There are also lots of other things that you can learn from many different games.
