based on my x6 thuban @3.5 and a 5850, I'd say no. I get tons of lag, although this seems to be very common and most likey due to a huge spike of people playing/downloading the game today. Perhaps in a week or so we'll be able to play 60ish fps at 1080p....you shouldn't have a problem maxing 1440x900 once the fix comes out. Be prepared to be pissed off until then.
