Is vergil stronger than Dante in the Devil May Cry series

vergil is STRONGER than dante during the begginings of devil ma cry there are cutscenes were he CAN outright kill dante like for example the first fight with nelo angelo. however like stated by himself he loves his brother infact he saves dante on the fight against arkham on mission 19. jester on mission 13 summarizes what vergil and dante are, jester was more and inbetween problem he couldnt control the sword of sparda thats where arkham failed. althought dante is the only character known to achieve the transformation of sparda when wielding force edge.
