What is the difference between World of Warcraft and WC3

Although they are both set in the world of Azeroth, Warcraft and World of Warcraft are worlds apart. Warcraft (1,2,3, and Frozen Throne) are Single player games meant to be played off-line by yourself. World of Warcraft is meant to be played on-line with lots of people. Warcraft is a real-time strategy game while World of Warcraft is a Massively-Multiplayer-Online-Role-Playing-Game.
