How do you cross breed flowers in Animal Crossing

put two of the SAME type of flowers next to each other in your town.
make sure they are different colours.
water them for a couple of days ( it might take up to 4 weeks!! :O ).
then once when you wake up your 2 flowers shall be there as 1 amazin colour.
i am not sure if any colours dont go together.
