The first Nintendo ds was made in what year

there is a difference in what year the ds is made and when it was made, the year it was made was 2004, when it was Mae could be summer , winter, fall, spring, etc etc.
it could also mean the specific DATE it was made it, like 9-3-04 or 5-5-04.......
