Is there a way to command your troops to open fire on Star Wars battlefront 2

Well you cant really tell them to look over there or shoot right there but for the ps2 if you press the up button on the left side they might look. ( I have had a few instaces where that has happend.) The point is if you call some troops around you, they automaticly shoot at the enamy.
