How do you deafeat deadwood on drawn to life

Deadwood is more annoying than he is difficult. He's possessed by Wilfre, so he isn't really evil, but that doesn't help any because he's still trying to kill you. The shadowbats are the hardest part. Your goal is to attack the beehive-like things hanging from Deadwood's branches. They take about three or four hits to be killed. Each one subtracts a quarter of Deadwood's overall health. When his health gets down to 0, you're not done yet. Then, you go inside him and fight the Shadow possessing him. This is a checkpoint, so if you die during this part, you appear inside him again (thank goodness). Now, this Shadow is really hard--probably harder than defeating Wilfre. You have to wait for it to climb on a wall, and shoot it a bunch of times. I forget the details, so sorry. But the first part is really useful to know.
