How does secret of mana end
The Game ends with the Boy using the fully powered up Mana Sword to defeat the mana beast as it attempts to destroy the mana fortress. Upon landing the killing blow, the Mana beast flashes white and begins to dissipate. The Boy and the Girl wake up on a cliif edge, with neither the mana fortress, the mana beast, nor their comrade and friend, the Sprite, anywhere in sight. They realize the truth, that the destruction of the Mana Beast also caused the Sprite to disapear from this world. Both the Boy and the Girl pledge to never forget him, nor the Girl's boyfriend, Dyluck, who sacrificed himself to prevent Thanatos from taking over his body, and as they do so they realize that the mana beast has turned into snow, and it is causing it to snow all over the world.
Then they travel to places they've visited during the course of their adventure. They visit the resistance in Northtown, Jema in Tasnica, Santa, Elinee the witch, and Watts. It also shows the members of the Scorpion army, Sage Joch, and the Sandship, which appears to be captained by Sergo the Pirate. The Boy and the Girl then travel back to Pandora, where the two part ways, and the girl returns to repair her damaged family life. However, while there is no dialogue, the Boy appears to talk to the Girl in front of her father, and the Girl will either nod or shake her head, implying that he asks her to marry him. Regardless, the Boy goes alone to the Water palace, to visit Sage Luka, then returns to his hometown, Potos, implying that he reconciles with the people of his village. The last scene with the Boy shows him venturing to where he first discovered the sword, and he returns it. It is implied that, now that the Mana Sword is fully revived, it will now serve as a protection against evil as it did in the past.
The last scene shows the ruined Sprite village, yet far from abandoned, the ghostly aparition of the Sprite can be seen. The Game ends with a shot of the Sprite, sitting in a tree, gazing out at the night sky.
The entire tone of the ending is one of sadness and loss, but also of hope. Many people had died over the course of the adventure, including dearly beloved and the best of friends. It is one of hope as evil has been banished from the land, and the fully restored sword will usher in a new era of peace. Reconciliation is also a theme within the ending, as it shows the Girl, her best friend Phanna, and the Boy, all reconciling with their family, and moving into a chapter of their lives that is centered around rebuilding.
