If you have written out a video game how do you get it puplished

What I would would do is I would make a small indie games with the similar ideas of the game you just wrote. If you are happy with what you made publish it. Now finding the software will be up to you I would use google to find free ones like Gamemaker ((Free version)) or something like that. Get a few budies to try what you made, record the gameplay with Fraps and publish to Youtube. Post on your FAcebook wall! It doesn't matter. If people like the indie game you make make more then maybe just maybe other componies will invest in yiou. But it won't be easy.
