yes, but it isn't wise to do so. you could use third party software to emulate pixel shader 2.0 but it is usually a sure way to cause instability in your computer, i highly so not recommend it. you could try to do without but chances are it wont work or you'll have very poor quality; your best option is to go for gold and have your graphics card upgraded.
