Skip Rounds

Increases bullet ricochet chance

All bullets in Destiny have the chance to bounce off a surface that they hit, Skip Rounds increases this chance, allowing you to get some trick shots that you otherwise wouldn’t be able to manage. Definitely a novelty mod.

 

Snapshot

+30% ADS speed

Best used on a weapon that already has a high handling stat, Snapshot will make aiming your gun much faster, and should be enough to let you nail that kill before an enemy escapes into cover.

 

Speed Reload

+50 Reload

An insanely powerful Mod that has no downside, except for the fact that it only appears on Rare-quality weapons, Speed Reload will make you be able to prepare your gun to get back into the action a much faster process.

 

Spray and Play

50% faster base reload when magazine is empty

If you’re not the type to obsessively reload your gun after firing every single bullet, this will give you a big advantage, letting you reload at a faster rate once your magazine is empty.

 

Surplus

Doubles amount of ammo gained from each ammo pickup

Keep getting disappointed by the amount of ammo you’re getting from a pickup? Surplus will double the ammo you get at each pickup. Just think of the possibilities for this when you’re in search of Heavy Ammo in PvP!

 

Persistence

Accuracy improves as you fire

It’s usually bad practice to keep your finger held down on the trigger continually firing, but with Persistence this actually ends up being a big advantage, as you’ll get more and more accurate, being boosted up to 20%.

 

Take a Knee

Accuracy improves when firing crouched

This doubles your accuracy when crouched, so if you’re already in the habit of dropping down onto one knee when you run into an enemy this will definitely prove a big help for you.

 

Third Eye

Grants radar while in ADS

This is a great way of keeping aware of your surroundings when you’re aiming. Sadly exclusive to Legendary tier weapons, Third Eye makes sure that no one will be able to creep up on you while you’re aiming your weapon.

 

Tripod (Rocket Launcher only)

Add an additional rocket to the rocket launcher magazine

An extremely straightforward Mod, tripod lets you fire off another rocket before you have to reload. You’re sure to find use for this one, however you play.

 

Tracking

Lock on tracking while zoomed

Find your rockets are going a little wobbly? This mod lets you lock on to a target while aiming, before firing a guided missile after them. Perfect for getting sneaky kills, just make sure you’re not too exposed while locking on.

 

Who’s Next

150% faster reloads after a kill

After picking off an enemy, you’ll be able to reload your weapon much faster. In practice this is very similar to Feeding Frenzy, so if you can track down a weapon with both Mods, enjoy your pretty much non-existent reload times.

 

Zen Moment

Stability increased with each hit

Boosts your stability after each shot that hits, up to 66% after five. It’s a huge bonus, and on a powerful gun can be a sure fire way to rack up the multi-kills.
