Plunder Pirates Tips, Cheats & Hack for Gold, Gems & Grog

If the internet loves anything, it’s a good strategy combat game and Pirates. Plunders Pirates joins Rovio’s lineup alongside Angry Birds and Bad Piggies, from Rovio Stars, the game features sea dogs and all out pirate war.
The premise of the game is that you start out as a Pirate Captain with a rag tag pirate crew. After the terrible occurrence of a devastating flood, your island fortress has been utterly destroyed. What remains of your former impressive vessel wouldn’t even be enough to impress an adventure hungry four year old. Plunder Pirates Cheats & Tips

When you first start off playing the game, you have a temporary protection status, which prevents other players from attacking you; this is definitely something you’ll want to take advantage of when it comes to building up your resources. This period of protective time will also allow you to get to know how the game works, it will also give you chance to build up your own protection by creating an effective line of defense for when the protective period is over. Bear in mind that should you decide to attack another player during this period of protection, the barrier protecting your island will be broken, leaving you vulnerable and open to attack before you are ready to protect your island properly.

Try to ensure that you collect both your gold and your grog regularly as these are both necessary resources for hiring new pirates and funding your own pirate projects, to ensure that you’re able to continue playing the game at a steady pace, make it a habit to check on your distilleries and your mines as often as you can, otherwise, when they’ve reached their maximum holding capabilities, you’re just wasting gold and grog as your storage buildings cannot hold any more than they already are.

To prevent this issue from occurring too often, try to upgrade both grog and gold buildings as soon as you can as this will increase how much of each resource that they can hold. Also, make sure that upgrading your pirate hall is a priority too as a higher level pirate hall will allow you to upgrade all of your other buildings to higher levels; you’ll also be able to build brand new buildings that require a higher level Pirate Hall.

When it comes to building new things, make sure you’re building something that features on your request list, the quests that you are given initially, also doubles as a great building guide, this allows you to follow a specific route whilst moving along through the game at a pace that won’t overwhelm you. You can find the available quests by checking the envelope icon that is in the corner of the screen. Your quests will be separated into three different categories, Exploration, Fighting and Building. Check all three categories to check which quest you have available as you may have multiple available quests.

When you are exploring the seas, stick to the calm water areas as much as you can, sailing through these areas is much faster than that of choppy waters, if you can figure out a route that allows for a quick journey, that’s the route you’ll want to take.

When it comes to exploring other islands, try to explore as many islands as you can as returning to previously explored islands and checking the island’s landmarks will give you gold and occasionally grog. Visit your conquered islands as much as possible as it’s pretty much free gold.

In the single player mode, you can attack pirate bases multiple times as some enemies need to be challenged multiple times before you can fully take them out. If you shoot for defeating these bases first, you’ll end up with much larger sums of gold, as with each challenge the bounty raises, however, only do this if you’re prepared and know you can do it, as with each new challenge, the enemy island’s defenses get better and will make it harder for your comrades to break through. Make ysure that you double check the pirates you have before every fight so you’re not short any and you know that you have enough Pirates to take your enemy down.

Whilst out in the ocean, you may spot other ships and monsters, these can also be attacked, but you need to be very wary of these battles as the ocean will have a lot of other potential enemies in it and you could end up sailing too far, the game will let you know if youre almost out of your range,so pay attention to this warning and head back as soon as you see it. Don’t be tempted by the idea of more rewards, be smart and turn back before you end up being eaten by the Kraken or giant squid or something like that.

As of yet, there have been no hacks released for this game due to the fact that it is server sided, however, many requests have been made so it is highly likely that there are hackers working on it.

Plunder Pirates Review

I actually found it to be really difficult to get into this game because it really is just a clone of more popular games like Clash of Clans or Boom Beach. The majority of what Plunder Pirates has to offer has been done over and over, so it hardly has any originality at all. There is also the waiting, which is an absolute killer. Everything in this game can take time to do, more so than I’m used to in comparison with other similar games. Sailing through the ocean and exploring your surroundings quickly increases in how long your journey takes, especially once you’ve left the calm area around your own island. A feature that is different from other similar games, should make Plunder Pirates more fun and popular, but the length of time it takes players to properly explore just completely takes the biscuit. The prices for various upgrades and resources also skyrocket quickly right from the very start of the game.

One of the few things that I found to be pretty cool about this game was the fact that there was a single player mode where you could explore, a feature that definitely makes the game stand out amongst others of its kind

Ratings:

Artwork: I give Plunder pirates an 8/10 for its artwork. The artwork is very well done and fits perfectly with the theme of the game. The design is fun and makes it a very visually attractive game.

Music and SFX: I give the game an 8/10 for its music and SFX. The music of this game presents a very catchy tune that ends up getting stuck in your head for hours. The sound effects are also amusing and can make me laugh at various points throughout the game.

Story and Originality: I give the game a 4/10 for its story and originality. This game is maybe 10% original, whereas the rest of it is completely ripped off of more popular and similar games like Clash of Clans. It just seems like Rovio was trying to make the next big thing after their Angry Birds success and just jumped on the real time strategy combat game bandwagon; sadly, it really isn’t working from them and gives their fans almost nothing new. The only way this game slightly redeems itself is with the exploring option, which definitely throws something new into the mix which could quite possibly make it more appealing, however, it really isn’t working for me personally. The game starts off with an interesting story, but there really isn’t much in the way of development there, which may have made the game far more appealing and different.

General Gameplay: I give the game a 7/10 for its general gameplay. The gameplay is easy enough to pick up quickly; the tutorial is a great feature and really allows you to get to know the game better. If you have played Clash of Clans and Boom Beach, you’ll pretty much already know exactly what you’re doing with this type of game, so you might want to skip the annoying tutorial here.

Addictiveness: I give the game an 8/10 for addictiveness. I can really see Plunder Pirates being one of those games I could quite easily get addicted to, however, there is maybe one single original bone in its body and that doesn’t feel like enough. Rovio is just following the trend and making itself out to be a huge disappointment to its fans. Perhaps they should come up with an original game next time and they’ll get their Angry Birds level of obsessiveness and addiction back.

Overall, I rate Plunder Pirates 7/10
