Is rome total war better than medieval 2 total war

It depends on your interests. RTW features less historical accuracy, a poorer AI (though both have poor AI's), faster gameplay, and a more active Multiplayer community. Medieval has better historical accuracy, better AI, slightly more balance, but a withering MP community.
