How do you get to Fletching Level 99 in RuneScape
Start with a knife and an axe (any type will do, but it's best to use the highest level on you can). Go to the woods east of Draynor/west of Lumbridge and cut normal trees. When your inventory is full, cut the logs into arrow shafts. Now once your about level 3 fletching from this, go run them all to the bank in Lumbridge. Now go kill some chickens for their feathers, try to get the same amount of them as you have arrow shafts. Connect all of the feathers to the shafts, then sell them at the Grand Exchange, this brings alot of GP. Now you should be level 5 fletching at least. Head back to Draynor woods with only your axe, not the knife. Fill up with regular logs, dump them at the bank, and keep doing this until you have a good amount. Now head back to the bank. Get your knife and 27 logs out. Cut them all into shortbows, put them in the bank, take out more logs, cut them, etc. until level 10. Stringing is optional, but if you have the time to pick and spin tons of flax (lvl 10 crafting required), or the $$$$ laying around to buy it, then I wouldn't recommend it until you're higher level because the logs are easy to obtain right now and you don't really need the extra experience points. Make longbows once you are level 10, and keep doing so until you are level 20. You may need to cut more logs.
Alright. So now you should have 20 fletching, and at least 15 woodcutting. Time to cut oak trees. Draynor/Lumbridge woods are excellent for this, but if you need some change of scenery, try Seer's village (though this isn't quite as fast and as you will be seeing alot of this place until you hate it's guts in the future, you might want to stay away for now). Make oak short bows until level 25, and if you did decide to go to Seer's, then try stringing them if you want. At level 25 now make oak longs until 35.
Note: You can buy the logs if you have the money, as this is faster. There are two cons for this though: it CAN get VERY spendy as you get into higher level logs, such as maples and yews, and then your woodcutting won't advance with your fletching, and that is very useful.
So now you're level 35 and can make willow shorts. there are three places to do this: Draynor village, with the bank and willows just south, Seer's village, with the bank and willows just north, and the grand exchange. Willows are as of 4/12/09 considerably affordable especailly if you have been selling all of your finished bows thus far. So pick your place, and fletch willow shorts until level 40. Now fletch willow longs in the thousands until you are level 55. If you are an impatient person then you should stay far away now.
Go to Seer's cut and fletch maple longs. If you have several hundred thousand gp then again the grand exchange will suffice instead. Remember to sell the bows you make at a general store! if you are in Seer's then use the one in Catherby.
Fletch maple longs until lvl 70. String them now if possible. This will take a long time . . . try chatting while you do it, or listen to music (try something you've never tried before. I am generally a heavy metal fan, but out of boredom I tried Taylor Swift, and now I love her!), or have a tv on, or pull up another tab on the internet and casually surf the web while you cut and cut and cut and cut and cut and cut and cut and cut. And think of your character clothed in a majestic skill cape and hood, flashing your patience and achievement for all of Gielinor to acknowledge!
At level 70 now you can work on yew longs. This will help immensly if you have 60 woodcutting to get the yew logs. Seer's is recommended, but the Gnome Stronghold will work also because they have yews, a bank, flax, and spinning wheels. Yes, you officially will now be stringing each and every bow. You can also make alot of money off of this. If you have 55 magic, then high alc all these strung yew longs for 768gp each! that is some serious profit! Once you are on fletching level 80, you can start making magic shortbows if you have the money or woodcutting level and the time, as this will take a bit longer, but if not, keep on cutting yew longs until level 85.
At 85 you will definitely want to do the magic longs just for the xp alone, not to mention the profit from high alching them. Do it until level . . .*drumroll* . . .99! (use the boredom taming skills mentioned earlier)
Go buy yourself the skill cape that most likely got you into this in the first place. And if anyone tells you that fletching is an easy skill or even a noob skill, well, you know they're wrong!
