Batman – Arkham City: Hidden Radio Messages

In Batman: Arkham City for the PS3 and Xbox 360, there are several hidden messages that you can find in the city using your Cryptographic Sequencer to tune into certain frequencies manually.

When you go to these frequencies, you will hear a voice that repeats a set of numbers. These numbers range from 1 to 26, so they can be ciphered using various different letter substitution ciphers.

Hidden Message 1
This hidden message is located around 700X, 500Y:
9 23 9 12 12 18 5 20 21 18 14 2 1 20 13 1 14

This is a basic letter substitution cipher, where you simply replace 1 for A, 2 for B and so on, to get the message “I will return batman.”

Hidden Message 2
This hidden message is located around 500X, 900Y:
5 15 9 7 21 18 18 14 3 5 24 15 12 7 22 3 10 5 15 9 22 3 8 25 26 15 16 25 10 15 17 25

This is a reversed alphabet cipher, with the position of the letters moved to the right three spots, so instead of Z being 1, Z moves to 4, Y is 5, W is 6, and so on, which makes the hidden message read “You will pay for what you have done to me”

Hidden Message 3
This hidden message is located around 200X, 500Y:
3 20 26 18 26 16 24 1 11 4 24 9 3 8 5 2 12 18 6 16 7 11 3 10 17 5 13 4 21 8

This message has yet to be cracked, because using either of the above ciphers just reveals what seem to be random characters.

If any of you are good code breakers out there, please feel free to leave comments of your results if you are able to crack the message, and I will post them here. Please explain the cipher you used however, or it will be ignored.
