Call of Duty – Modern Warfare 3: What is an M.O.A.B and how do you get it?

In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 for the PC, PS3, Wii, and Xbox 360, there is a new killstreak reward called the M.O.A.B. that stands for Massive Ordinance Air Blast (also known as, Mother Of All Bombs).

The M.O.A.B is attainable using any of the Strike Packages in the game, and is always set at 25 kills, however you can only get it with kills from your weapons, not from Strike Package kills. There isn’t anything recorded in the game whatsoever that you achieved it, nor are there any unlockables associated with it, so the only “proof” you could have gotten it would be from recording your matches. This is good in my opinion, because people won’t abuse it nearly as much as the Tactical Nuke was abused in Modern Warfare 2.

The M.O.A.B. wipes out all enemies on the map, destroys all equipment, and keeps enemies from getting any streaks for one minute. As a bonus, your entire team gets double XP for the remainder of the match as well. Unlike the Tactical Nuke in previous games, an M.O.A.B. does not end the match, however it sure can turn the tides of a match.
