Well, unfortunately the answer is no, you can’t perform a critical finish in Soul Calibur 5.
A new super meter type bar has been implemented instead of the soul gauge, which works more like the latest Street Fighter games. You fill the bar, and you can perform Brave Edge and Critical Edge moves that use up that bar.
