Lost Planet 3 Thermal Posts (T-Posts) Locations Guide

Lost Planet 3 features Thermal Posts, also known as T-Posts, all around the world.  Players can use these posts to boost their in-game money.  There are six of these energy syphoning sites total.  Finding all of them earns you the Master Planter trophy or achievement.  However, the game makes it difficult to find these lucrative buildings; they won’t be found on your map.  Luckily, we’ve assembled a guide detailing all the locations of these T-Posts, so you can find them in your game and use them to your advantage.

White Canyon Junction: Diaz Cavern

You really can’t miss this post.  It is located in the beginning area, and you’ll find it as you progress the story.  Finding this thermal post opens up the quest to locate the rest of them.

Bailey’s Crossing: North Plains Clearing

In Bailey’s Crossing, find the tunnel leading to the south exit.   Follow this path until you reach a clearing.  At the back of this area, you will find the thermal post.

Shackleton Peak

Go to Dr. Roman’s area in Shackleton Peak.  Go south from here to find a pipe at the base of the peak.  Use your zip line to cross to the cave.  Go through and find the T-Post.

Bishops Wake: Shumate Bend

Go through Bishop’s Wake and keep an eye out for a winch prompt.  Use your winch and a zip line to reach a new area.  Use your detector to find the post here.

The Killing Fields

Go to the east area in the Killing Fields, where there is a platform.  Find another winch prompt.  Use it to reach an island.  Head south on the island to find the thermal post.

Pickett’s Folly

In Pickett’s Folly, start heading up the slope that will take you to the Killing Fields.  Look for a cave on the left-hand side.  In here, use your grappling hook to ascend.  Head towards the back of the cave to find the last T-Post.
