Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag – Hideout Upgrades Guide

Hideouts are one of the most fun aspects of the new Assassin’s Creed game. You will essentially get to build and upgrade your own pirate hideout, choosing which buildings to buy and when. Building a complete hideout with all the upgrades earns you the “FTFY” trophy or achievement. Use our guide to see all the upgrades you can purchase for your own Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag hideout.

The Brothel

Building the brothel in your hideout requires you to lay down 15,000 Reales. Luckily, this upgrade comes with a pretty sweet reward. You will be able to hire dancers for free. Dancers are very useful in that they distract the guards for you, and since you can now hire them for free, there’s no limit!

The Campfire

After building a campfire at your hideout, you can access drunken pirates. These pirates will travel with you and fight with guards, allowing you to make a quick getaway. Like the dancers, this service will be free. The campfire costs 7,000 Reales.

The General Store

Building the general store will cost only 700 Reales. It will appear on the Pier and you can buy goods from it anytime.

The Harbormaster

Purchasing this upgrade only costs the player 500 Reales. It will add a Harbormaster shop to the pier that you can use anytime.

Manor Façade

This is just a decorative upgrade for your hideout. It costs 6,000 Reales. It changes the appearance of the manor.

Manor Guesthouse

This upgrade costs a whopping 40,000 Reales. It’s a cosmetic upgrade for the manor building.

Manor Tower & Gardens

This is another cosmetic upgrade for the manor that costs 18,000 Reales.

Tavern

You can build a tavern at your hideout for 3,500 Reales. You’ll still have to pay for your own drinks, though!
