Princess Debut review

Using some kind of ingenious mind microscope, Natsume must have peered into the brains of a cross-section of 12-year-old girls, identified their major concerns and then condensed them into this game. You play a schoolgirl who can’t decide which of the local lads she fancies. Alas, before you can accost one of them you’re whisked into an alternative dimension. In this new land you’re a princess who must impress suitors by dancing with them. You can also collect frocks and accessories, and take dance lessons in a range of venues. Part dating sim, part rhythm-action dancing game, Princess Debut is perfectly pitched at its girly audience. Just one thing, though: whoever thought that a sinister anthropomorphic rabbit in top hat would be a suitable dance instructor? Brrr…
