Kidzworld member Jonna_Son for some help with a Pokemon Ruby game problem. The problem went straight to Cheat Street, the place to go for all the latest video game cheats, hints, tips, codes, secrets and walkthroughs to help you with your fave games. Here's what Jonna_Son had to say.
Hi Gary,
I hope you can help me. I was playing
GBA Pokemon Ruby and I taught
TM Dig to
Sandshrew. I then made the mistake of putting him at the
Daycare for a while. When I got him back his move was gone being replaced by another. How, or is there any way, to get
TM Dig back, or is there a
Pokemon that has the move
Dig? Please help me!
Jonna_Son
Hey Jonna_Son,
I got your about the TM Dig problem. Ouch! That sucks, especially because you only get one
TM Dig in the entire
Pokemon Ruby game. But, there's a way to fix the problem! There are two Pokemon that can
learn TM Dig -
Nincada and
Trapinch. Here's how to capture them and how to get them to learn Dig.
Good luck!
Gary
Pokemon Ruby Game Cheat: Capturing Trapinch
The
Trapinch Pokemon is a desert-dwelling
Ground-type Pokemon that is only found in two locations,
Route 111 and the
Desert Ruins. The good news is they're easy to find once you get there! Once you have one, start leveling it up and, at
Level 41, it will learn Dig. There's a problem though, at
Level 35 it will try to
evolve into
Vibrava and, if it does, it won't learn Dig! When it levels to 35 and starts to evolve, press
B to interrupt the evolution and stop it.
Pokemon Ruby Game Cheat: Capturing Nincada
Nincada is the other Pokemon that learns Dig and you can only find it on Route 116. It's a Bug/Ground-type Pokemon, so check the Weakness Chart to find out how to beat it. Once you have it, it's time to level it up all the way to Level 45 (yikes!) so it will learn Dig. But, just like Trapinch, it's going to try to evolve at Level 20. Make sure you hit
B to stop the evolution or you'll have to start all over again.
Pokemon Ruby: Bonus TM Dig Info!
What's really good news is that once you have a
Pokemon with
Dig, you can do the whole
Pokemon breeding thing and it'll try to teach its kids
Dig. This way you can have lots of Pokemon with the move, just in case you lose it again or want to trade one to a friend.
