Video Walkthrough
Welcome to Seattle
The opening cutscene is both artsy and brutal. Enjoy it on your way into this game.
Head ac ross the room to the right and press A to jump to the next area.
Break down the door when prompted and continue moving to the right. Right underneath the gap of the bridge above you, observe the wooden planks on the ground.
Climb up the wall and go to the left. Pick up the lost page of your diary and jump across the gap.
Drop the heavy object down to the floor below you and watch the enemies walk into the trap.
Head all the way across the room to the left and open the door to reach the outside.
Climb the ladder across from you and jump to the wall of the buildings to the left to scale it. You will have to make a couple more jumps before you reach the top.
Observe the tutorial for sprinting and performing a long distance job. Begin sprinting and press A.
Climb down the next ladder and press Y to taunt enemies. If you do it this time, they will walk into the electrical wiring. Not the smartest of zombies, are they?
Run into a shut door to tackle it and break it down.
Climb all the way down the ladder and head to the right until you find the torn page.
Wait for the water to recede before crossing it. If the water is too deep, your character will die.
Use the first aid kid when you come up on it and go outside the door to Interstate 5.
Go all the way to the right and oexamine the electrically charged area for a “secret”.
In the next area, jump over the zombies. They will be unable to chase you. Like I said, not the brightest..
Grab an axe from the tool shed and use it to make a hole in the fence to get to the next area.
Move across the area and press B to break the planks when you are at the top.
Head to the right when you are outside until you find a lost page of your diary.
Climb down the ladder and sprint across the bridge before it collapses. Climb to the top of the area until Randal comments abotu it getting dark.
Check out the $100 bill on the ground. Unfortunately, money is useless in this world.
Head through the wave of enemies and climb onto the roof of the next structure. Go to the right and jump your way towards the first aid kit.
After the cutscene, destroy the zombie and examine the blue handkerchief.
Use your sprint jump to get across and taunt the zombies once you reach them in order to get them close to you. As soon as they get close, jump over them and continue running to the right.
Jump onto the first platform underneath the powerline and taunt the next wave of zombies to get them away from the door. Once you do so, tackle your way through this door.
Climb to the top of the structure and continue to move across and through the Taxi Garage opening.
Turn the lights on and drop the giant car onto the zombies. Jump up onto the car and move across the platform towards the left. Jump the fence and over into the area with the opening leading to the outside.
Scale the wall that contains the opening you just came out of to reach the next area. You will know you are on the right track if you find a stranger’s ID.
Jump up onto the high rise and into the next area with the auto glass shop.
Climb up the next set of walls and observe the Wall Rebound tutorial.
Press LT when making the next large jump to roll and avoid damage.
In the next room, you will find another missing piece of your diary.
Be careful when you walk out of the room you are in- there is a ton of lightning on the floor. Take one step out and jump on top of the structure. Make your way across while staying above the lightning.
When you reach the end of the area, pick up the .38 special revolver. This will transition you into some revolver training. Shoot the shadow and aim for the head.
Climb across the telephone wire. Jump over the zombies and open the door to the next room to find a first aid kit.
When you reach the giant fire, scale the wall of the building until you reach the top.
Examine the stranger’s ID and make your way onto the roof to knock over the water tower.
Maneuver your way around the next set of zombies and head inside the structure. Climb the wall and crash the door to reach the room wher you find the graffiti on the wall.
The planks are responsible for blocking your path. Taunt the zombies over towards where you are and they will break them for you.
Go back to the graffiti room where it says “I’ll Kill You Freaks”. Now that you have a clear path, you can climb your way up until you reach the Testament letter.
Move across and hang on the protruding ledge. Instead of jumping to the left and getting the higher ground, jump across to the right and you will be able to continue across. There is no way to make the jump from the high ground, even though it looks like the opposite would be true.
Jump all the way across until you reach the building’s wall. Instead of going up from here, drop down to where the outside of the building is angled. Slide down it and jump across to the left.
In the next structure, shut off the electricity and do a running roll to make it across before it comes back on. Push the crate over next to the wall to get to the next area. You will find a first aid kit and a postcard here.
Push the shelves at the end of the room next to the door in order to get up to the next area.
Once you’re outside in the pouring rain, climb across the powerline to avoid the zombies.
In the next area, head across until you reach the trap door. You need a combination to get through it. You can find this four digit number in the area directly above the trap door.
WHen you reach the outside again, tackle the door down and make your way past the cars and over the fence.
When you reach the double wall, use the wall bounce to get through the area before the zombies reach you.
Wait until the next wave of zombies is right next to the platform you’re on before jumping over them. Anyone else notice the “Exxcen” gas station??
After the next cutscene, you will wake up to an unfamiliar, non apocalyptic world. You don’t really have to do anything but walk through it. Pay attention to the monologue though. The story is starting to develop here. That concludes it for this chapter of Deadlight.
Hunters
Jump on the structure attached to the rope and signal the rat to go down.
Head to the right and use the wall bounce to reach the planks. Climb the ladder on the wall on the right and jump across to the left again when you reach the top.
Head through the door and move the big crate. Before climbing up the ladder, you can pick up a lost page of your diary.
Head across the top of the sandbags. If you try to run across the floor, the spikes will crush you.
Once you drop down from the ladder, run and jump across the crevices. If you step on them, you will be crushed. Also, I’m sure you’ve noticed, but you’re being chased by zombies, so mash your left button.
Once you climb down the next ladder, examine the torn page on the ground. Just past the page, you will find a slingshot.
Climb back up the ladder and shoot the wall to the right with your slingshot to unlock the next area.
Jump all the way down the angled tunnel and be careful when you start dropping straight down. There will be a ton of spikes placed in different areas. You will have to go from hanging on one wire to another and descend slowly. Patience is key here. If you get out of control, you will probably fall into the spikes.
Head across the room to the left and go down the ladder until you reach the very bottom of the sewer. Go across the water to the right until the conversation and cutscene with the rate dude begins.
Go to the left and check the structure for a first aid kid. Continue up and scroll to the right.
Use the block to activate the platform and have it take you up.
Move to the left and move the block all the way over next to the wall in order to get over it. You will find an illustration of Dante’s 9 Circles of Hell if you check the dark room at the end.
Climb the ladder and flip the switch to drop the block onto the platform. Talk to the rat man at the end of the path to move onto the next area.
Jump across the area with the pressure plates and move as quickly to the right as you can to avoid dying.
Continue up past the busted up subway car. Search the room on the right for a strangers I.D. before continuing up.
Head to the right and avoid the pressure points again. Remember that Randal can’t swim in deep water, so wait for it to recede before crossing.
Make your way all the way up and use the slingshot in order to reach the next area.
In the next room. use your slingshot again and scroll across to the left. You will have to activate the machine in the other room and then sprint across to the left. This part is terrifying, but if you don’t waste a second you will make it.
Go inside the destroyed subway car and grab the First Aid Kit.
Jump on the platform into the next area and pull the crate to climb up out of the sewers and into the northern suburbs.
The door is locked, so use your slingshot to break the glass above you. There will be plenty of zombies outside to greet you, so grab on to the power wire and climb across when you are out of their reach.
Continue to the right and climb across the powerline and towards the next structure.
Move through the identical rooms until you are prompted to use your slingshot. Hit the car and set the alarm off. Once you do so, take the opportunity to climb up towards the next power line.
Go across the roof and you will find the treehouse to the right. Past the area where you find the torn page of your diary, you will run into a cutscene.
Climb up the ladder and into the short cutscene. When you have control of Randal, keep running to the right.
Descend the next structure until you get the “enemy spotted” message.
Keep strolling across until you reach the roof.
Run up the crane and be prepared to be fired at by a helicopter. Slide down the angled part of the roof and jump as you hold the directional button to the right to dodge this.
Keep running to the right until you drop through the ground. You will find an axe and a first aid kit down here.
Keep running and jump over all the boxes. Eventually, you will jump out of a window in order to avoid the gunfire of the helicopter.
You will have a dream of the regular world again. Afterwards, you can find a page of your diary on the ground as you continue to scroll to the right.
In the next area, run all the way across as quickly as you can. Once you go through the door, shut it immediately. Take care of the zombies that made it through with you and pick up the .38 revolver before continuing.
Move across the parking garage on the level that is more elevated than where the zombies are. When you hit their level, run to the right and shoot the few zombies that get in front of you (you will be chased by a much larger number from the back).
When you reach the outside, pick up the First Aid Kit.
Make your way across to the right by grabbing onto the power line.
When you climb all the way up, you will reach another cutscene. After it is over, pick up the lost page of your diary. To your right, another cutscene occurs. Looks like Ben is in trouble.
Keep scrolling to the right, and once you make your way higher up, move left towards the empty stadium.
Once you reach Ben, there will be a lengthy cutscene. Looks like you reached him just in time.
When you get control of Randal again, scroll all the way to the right. Examine the thing that looks like a gear to have your maximum health increased.
Make your way up by scaling the wall. When you reach the hospital area, break open the door and use your gun to destroy the zombies that rush you.
Run all the way to the left. Randal will get cornered by the shadows and jump out the window to escape. After the cutscene, head to the right to finish the Hunters potion. Only one more act to go!
The New Law
Scroll to the right through the dialogue and pick up the I.D. of a Stranger in the rubble.
Climb over the wall and search the corpse to find some ammo.
Cross over the water and run as fast as you can once you hit the ground to avoid being crushed.
Once in the building, you will have to go outside and shoot a hole in the upper wall to create an opening.
Scroll to the right and pick up the First Aid Kit. Continue until you reach the tower.
Climb up the tower and get over to the other side. Be careful when dropping back down not to land in the water.
Keep scrolling to the right until you reach a shack and witness a creepy cutscene.
Move until you find a lost piece of your diary. Go through the opening just beyond this location for another cutscene.
Once you have control of your character again, call the zombie over to the door. Ram the door once it gets close for an easy, amo-less kill.
After the next cutscene, Stella will follow you. You can press X to help her climb.
Head across when you reach the outside and break down the door all the way to the right to enter the next area.
When you get control of Randall again, be prepared to run. Be careful here- you will have to pull Stella up when you jump the gap. And quickly too.
Once you hear Stella screaming, quickly head to the right and use your rifle to take out the attacking zombie.
Once you are outside again, ignore all the zombies and run to the right as you jump the fences in your path.
Once Stella starts complaining about too many shadows, you’re going to have to.. you guessed it.. fight a bunch of shadows. Be liberal with your ammo here.. it’s the only way to survive.
After the next cutscene, head to the right and pick up the lost page of your diary. A little bit further to the right, you will run into the last cutscene of the game. Congratulations on completing Deadlight!
