With the release of Uncharted 3 not being too far off, we’ve an opportunity to ponder and speculate on the features that will define Nathan Drake’s next adventure. Here are the top ten features we want out of the next game.
While the vehicle sections in the first two Uncharted games were largely enjoyable, they could be improved with the addition of more interaction. Being able to drive a car while firing your gun would be a lot more fun than playing a shooter on rails.
Fending off waves of enemies with your partner if fun, but being able to play through the entire campaign would ramp up the cooperative experience to the next level.
Uncharted 3 could borrow Gears of War’s greatest feature as a cover-based shooter: the active reload system. Being able to reload your gun while running and gunning would make the combat much more fluid and fast paced.
There’s no doubt that Nathan Drake is quick on his feet and good with his hands. With his skill and finesse, he ought to be able to trip enemies while on the run and perform moves that would make Ezio Auditore da Firenze jealous.
When faced with multiple opponents, Nathan Drake’s only option is to take one of them at a time. He may not be a skilled assassin, but he should be able to defend himself a little better.
