Hitman: Absolution Melee Weapons Guide Part 7

It’s almost ironic that the people at Eidos included more melee weapons than firearms in Hitman: Absolution. Or maybe not since stealth play is greatly encouraged in this game. If you’re a Hitman you need to do a clean job and since all missions have a challenge that requires you to be never spotted, it probably makes more sense. Weapons are sorted in alphabetical order and if you don’t fine the weapon you are looking for, please check the other parts of the guide.

  • Police Baton

The police baton is the standard equipment of police officers everywhere: since there are polimen in Hitman: Absolution, so are the baton. You can attack a target’s head from the fron or use the baton to strangle them from behind. As a throwable weapon, it’s not too effective since it can’t kill targets with a well aimed throw to the head: simply use it to lure enemies ouyt of the way. The Police Baton can be found in the Shaving Lenny, Skurky’s Law and Operation Sledgehammer missions.

  • Power Cord

The Power Cord works pretty much like the fiber wire and the measuring tape: it can only be used to strangle enemies from behind so no throwing or attacks from the front. Given how you always have the fiber wire in your arsenal, this makes a quite useless weapon. The Power Cord can be found in the Run For Your Life and Operation Sledgehammer missions.

  • Radio

Music kills, or rather radio does. The radio is a breakeble object so if you smash it on targets’ heads you won’t be able to use it again. The same goes if it is thown for quite a distance: it will break and you won’t be able to use it again. The Radio is quite unique as a distraction weapon: you can turn it on and lure enemies to its position. The Radio can be found in the A Personal Contract, Terminu, Birdie’s Gift, Run For Your Life, Shaving Lenny, Skurky’s Law, Fight Night, Death Factory, Attack Of The Saints, Blackwater Park and Dexter Industries missions.

  • Scissors

The Scissors work pretty much like the Screwdriver: you can attack from the front, from the side and from the back, all resulting into the death of your target. The scissors are also useful as a throwable weapon since they can kill a target with a throw aimed at the head. The Scissors can be found in the Terminus, Run For Your Life, Shaving Lenny, One Of A Kind and Absolution missions.
