Gemma is one of the three optional familiars that you can choose after completing the temple of Trials: Master Solomon will offer the choice to you after completion. Gemma is a pretty standard familiar, starting of with Healing Tear which heals some damage and See Stars which deals small physical damage. At level 15 Gemma will learn Blunt which will reduce physical damage of a single attack. There’s nothing truly special about this familiar so you may be better off using other familiars with more peculiarities. If you want to make a good use of Gemma, boost Magick and Physical Attack to slightly improve its tricks.

The second of the optional familiars obtainable after completing the temple of Trials. Boogly has some more useful tricks: he starts with Enlighten which is a simple Magic Attack Buff. It will also learn Fling Flame at level 7 and Thunderspark at level 15, allowing it to dish out some elemental damage. Boost its magic attack to make the best of its elemental tricks. It’s a familiar best used for magic tricks so customize accordingly.

Shonky is the last obtainable familiar after completing the temple of Trials: it’s a familiar which is more geared towards dealing damage since he has the Psyche Up commands as well as the Body Blast trick, which deals physical damage. Shonky can also deal some dark elemental damage with Demon’s Fury, learned at level 16. It can also cause the sleep status ailment with the Drowsy Drops trick, learned at level 7. Boost its physical and magic attack to make the best out of this familiar’s characteristics.
