Dark Souls 2 Resetting Stats

If you’ve already read our Dark Souls 2 Starting Stats guide you’ll already be aware about the points that can be allocated to a variety of different areas including, intelligence, dexterity, faith and strength. Allocating your stats to these skills will dictate your strengths and play style, but what happens if you’re unhappy with your stat allocation selections? That’s where the Dark Souls 2’s Soul Vessel item comes into play.

Dark Souls 2 – How to Reset Stats
Locate a soul vessel and bring it along to the Red Women based in Things Betwixt, where she will enable you to reset your stats back to the starting class and reallocate the points spent through previous leveling. There are a total of 6 Soul Vessels to hunt out throughout the game, so follow on to discover the Dark Souls 2 Soul Vessel locations and how to get those stats reset…

Dark Souls 2 Soul Vessel Locations



#1 - Majula
The first Soul Vessel is located in Majula, visit Crestfallen Saulden near to the monument and after enough NPC’s have arrived into this town, he will offer you this Soul Vessel.

#2 – Majula
This Soul vessel can also be found in Majula and requires you to complete a few steps beforehand. Head over to the Cardinal Tower bonfire within the Forest of Fallen Giants, climb down the ladder and defeat the enemies located at the bridge. Now turn left and jump up to the rooftop from the gnarled tree. Here you should find a cave in your line of sight, head inside and pause beneath the initial horizontal beam as a boulder rolls by. Head upwards from where the boulder rolled from to speak to Cale. Continue speaking to him a few times and he’ll give you a house key. This key unlocks the large house near to the well in Majula, which is where a chest containing the soul vessel is located.

#3 - The Lost Bastille
This third soul vessel can be discovered behind the door to a Pharros’ treasure room. Find this door in the area which invites you with the options of turning or left or heading up the spiral staircase, take the left, destroy the mummy and go down rather than up across the roofs. Head into the second door from the left, take the ladder up and drop down onto the platform. Once you arrive at the room containing a large statue, to your right is the Pharros door containing the soul vessel.

#4 – Drangleic Castle
Take the lift next to the Central castle Drangleic bonfite which will lead you to a room containing a cage and two chests, inside one of the chests is the soul vessel.

#5 – Undead Crypt
The penultimate vessel is found in the Undead Crypt near to the Undead Ditch Bonfire just as you enter the area containing the breakable rocks. Looking towards the movable bridge you can see a platform below, reach this area to discover a chest containing this soul vessel.

#6 – Memory of Orro
The final soul vessel can be found inside the Memory of Orro, which you can access through the Ashen Mist heart on the fallen giant located close to the area of the Pursuer Boss. When inside, head towards the right path up the stairs and then take a right. Here you’ll find a corpse tucked up holding the final soul vessel.
