Removing statues blocking the way in Dark Souls 2

There are five statues in total across the Dark Souls 2 map and offering them the petrification cure leads you to new items, merchants and other treasure and bonuses. Listed below are all of the Statues in Dark Souls 2 to guide you where to use the Branch of Yore. 



Mejula
The statue in Mejula blocks the path to to the shaded woods, and once unpetrified, she will offer to teach you Pyromancy.

The Lost Bastille
The Statue in Lost Bastille is found just before you reach Sinners retreat. On your journey you’ll discover a bonfire blocked off by a mage trainer statue, once unpetrified he will offer you unique weapons in exchange of Boss souls.

Shaded Woods
Three lion statues can be found in the shaded woods, to hunt out the first, walk away from the shaded ruins bonfire and head upwards, afterwards take a right to lead you to the statue. The second can be found by jumping down from one of the windows at the Shaded Ruins bonfire, and the third is discovered after escaping the basilisk pit trap. Killing him will enable you to collect a Fang Key which opens up the door in the basilisk pit. Note: You can only pick up the Dark Souls 2 Basilisk Key by unpetrifying using a Branch of Yore and finally killing.



Fragrant Branch of Yore Locations

Fragrant Branch of Yore - Shaded Woods #1 - Blocking the door within the ruins, close to the path to Scorpioness Najka is a petrified tribal. Unpretrify to gain a branch alongside the Lion Mage armor set.

Fragrant Branch of Yore - Shaded Woods #2 - After you have defeated Scorpioness Najka, talk to Manscorpion Tark (ensure that you have the Ring of Whispers equipped) to obtain an additional branch.

Fragrant Branch of Yore - The Gutter - This branch can be discovered just before you reach Black Gulch’s first bonfire.

Fragrant Branch of Yore - The Black Gulch - This Branch of Yore can be located within a treasure chest found beyond two giants. To access it, head down the platforms close to the hidden room bonfire and find the chest at the back of a cave in a treasure room.

Fragrant Branch of Yore - Brightstone Cove Tseldora - Following Duke’s Dear Freja defeat, head over to the library and discover this branch.

Fragrant Branch of Yore - Iron Keep - This branch is sold within Magerold of Lanafir’s shop for a total of 7500 souls.

Fragrant Branch of Yore - Sinners Rise - Pick this branch up from inside a chest once the Lost Sinner has been defeated.

Fragrant Branch of Yore - Harvest Valley #1 - Located in a cave to the right of the first poisonous valley’s exit, just before you reach the Mines bonfire.

Fragrant Branch of Yore - Harvest Valley #2 - When passing the mines bonfire, check inside the room, found by knocking down a wooden wall, to discover this branch.
